Did you get the crank balanced? If not is there any vibration? What bbk did you go with? what piston? Im doing the same crank with cw bbk more then likely with the je piston

After getting some seat time.. it's official.. It's a BA. Beats the pants off our stock bore/stroke 450R through every corner and every straight. Got some works triple rates on the front to balance out the landings, and it's the smoothest quad I've ever sat on. ![]() There's a shot of my dad hitting the 95ft table at DBM's track. It's not a high jump but you fly a long way before you touch dirt again. awsome glad i know what mine will be when all done.. i will be the same except no cams and ill be hopefully running a LTE dual exhaust... long as the deal doesnt fall through.. |

For an intake system, I'm running a piece of tubing molded to fit the FCR, tapered toward the carb, and curved toward the center of my airbox, which has been modified into a splash shield, rather than a box.
I'm happy with the power output for sure. I didn't bother getting the crank balanced. I'm running the CW cylinder and Athena piston. ESR has lightweight big bore pistons manufactured for balancing with the stock cranks if you are worried about it. There is almost no vibration at running rpm, especially in comparison to the same setup on stock crank. At idle there is a little vibration, enough to see the rear fenders move w/o the rear brackets on them, but think about how big the motor is compared to stock.... enough said. As far as vibration through the pegs while running and jumping.. nada. I rode it in tennis shoes, it's been a long time since I could do that. I wouldn't put a JE piston in for my life after me couple of experiences with them. CP's are good, as are CW's pistons. The Athena is what I've run for a long time in different machines, and have had no problems with them, so I'll stick with this combo. Jetting is still a little fat, so I'm going to have to dig out the jet kit to get it dialed in, but it will be worth it. |
