Went to Litlle Sahara Utah yesterday and finally had a chance to do some good 'ol hillshooting up Sand Mountain. First off, I let my brother ride my Yoshi 450 because he weighs 180 lbs. compared to my 215 lb. butt.

He first lined up against a YFZ with a brand new full HMF pipe. He beat him the first race, but the other rider felt he had a bad start. My brother gave him another chance with the same results. Needles to say, he was pissed. All his friend's were quite surprised how well my sleeper was running. Man, what's done to that thing, is what I kept hearing. 8)

He then lined up against a new black Honda 450R with the arrestor out of the pipe and beat him by roughly 9 quad lengths at the top of the hill. The Honda rider said he was very impressed. They raced again with the same results.

The last race was against a bunch of different quads. Two piped Banshees, two DS 650's, 250R, 450R, and a piped YFZ with a 125 lb. rider. My bro and the little rider on the YFZ were neck and neck at the top. Very close race. Most of them wanted to know what was done to my Z. :schweet:

My Yoshi has cams, Edelbrock carb, full E series pipe, and stroked of course. I'm running the stock rev box and the head isn't even ported. I'm quite happy to say the least. The porting and a rev box will be my next investment. :D

I will try and get a link for the video we shot. My bro will probably do that today.

I'm running the DRZ cams. I had Hotcams in my other Z and they took all the bottom end away.

They were installed when the Yoshi 450 kit was being completed. Not sure how they would perform on a stock motor. I never got the chance to try.

They are both running very well. Impressive to say the least.
I have those Hot Cmas in my wifes Z as well, not sure that I am too impressed. I think you need compression and ignition to make them work right. What comp ratio does that Yoshi run?

Running 12.5 to 1 compression. I will be getting it ported over the winter. I changed my gearing from stock for this weekend to carry my big butt.

I have been running stock front one larger out back on my wife's but she is 90#. I ditched the FCR and put on a 400ex carb, lost some punch, but more rideable for the ladies.
Did you ever experiment with one cam v. both Hot Cams?

I've put hotcams+cdi+full pipe+carb+drz base gasket and im not impressed at all seems like it was pulling harder stock :wtf

I want to put a Hotcams on me z but I don't knoe if its a good choise..can you help me ??
