i was screamin across a sugar sand straightaway doin about 65 or 70 i suppose on my z...up ahead of me were a set of nasty deep whoops that i didn't know about....can u figure the rest out??? lol...... anyways i got in the whoops and it bucked me about 30ft over the bars and the z did about 4 end-over-end flips in the air and ended up nosediving me in my side...i screamed like a stuck pig boys....here's my list of injuries:
ruptured spleen (removed)
torn appendix (removed)
cracked sternum
2 broken ribs
concussion
bruised heart
bruised pancreas
bruised kidney
broke wrist
i think thats all.....week in the hospital and one badass scar to show people :) i thank god for bein here tho everyday...cuz it was really close..

DANG!!! That sounds like a nasty crash! That's what I haven't understood about the dunes/desert riding. Out there you can't really tell what its like unless you REALLY know the area, or have just checked it out earlier. How these folks can go flying through there w/o knowing, and not get killed, is beyond me! I know I'm too big of a pansy for that! I got bills to pay and if I get hurt, I lose my job and all that. Ain't worth the risk to me!

i do a lot of desert riding and i take it easy/go slow one way on a trail if i dont know, then on the way back i know whats where so i can go faster...a lot of places i ride, on one side of the trail is a drop off 50-200ft, so i dont drive too fast

Sounds like what I did, I was going down a straight away last winter going about 60 and hit a little snowbank.. It threw me over the bars just like you and I had to lay there and watch my Z do flips over my head lol, luckily I didnt recieve any serious injuries like you =\

I am nursing one of those broken collar bones now, been out for about 6 weeks, man I need to ride.

I did a endo like yours a few years back, didnt hurt myself too bad but just the thought made me change my riding style. Now I dont go fast where I ain't been b4. At 34 I dont heal to well.
