Have any of you ever raced a rappy. My dad has a z and i got a raptor. Just wonderin wut u guys thought wins for trail, mx, dragracing and handleing? thanx

if you can ride better than him then you will beat him on ANY track

any type of riding/racing is rider skill not bike speed, horsepower, cc size, etc etc

Ever since before I took the z down for re-build. I raced plenty of raptors. I was either a close tie if not me ahead of i would beat them with my z. Then again I had tons of motor work.

i havent reaced vs. raptor in awhile, but every time i have, i got my ass kicked, but thats before i got lrd full system, jet kit, and uni air filter, think i could beat him now? his is all stock.

Raced a ton of raptors in sand, I dont know the extent of mods but from what I could see they only had aftermarket pipes on em. One guy was serious and had it lowered and everything.. he ate my sand :D :woo

My 03 with yosh full exhaust and hot cams smoked my buddies 05 Rappy . The raptor had full yosh kit airbox/jetting. When I say smoked I mean till top end the raptor will pass a Z on the top but it takes a while for them to catch up. Even if we switched machine the results were the same. The raptors are fast in a straight line but thats all they've got.

Well my budy has a raptor and i race him all the time in the sand and beat him but on the road he beats me they dont hookup in the sand

when i had my kfx (sold,bought trx 450)it had j.e high comp piston,hot cams intake,exhaust,big gun full exhaust,ported i raced piped raptors several times we were pretty even,sometimes i pulled on him 1 quad lenth!

Any quad with a 660cc engine should have one hell of a monstrous advantage against a quad with a 400cc (actually 398cc) engine...

It all depends on what stage of tuning the motor is at. The raptor is very detuned. I the Z case it is just farly detuned. Raptors rev fairly slow because of the mass of the piston. But modded up they will w00ter and get. My bro dragged a raptor with Lite pipes and K&N in a um air box. My bro I think had his full Wb full carbon pro and WB foam filter and the raptor was 2 quad lenth behind my bro. My bro has a 450R
