Ha! It's been a re-occuring problem with them in the past. I have heard many mixed reviews. I know two people personally that ordered a-arms, shocks, and axles and recieved them in a week or less and I know of another induvidual that ordered a set of a-arms for a 250R and it took 3 months! :whoa

I ordered a swingarm and shocks from him and got them within a week. That was a year ago. I now am going to be ording a clutch cover within the next couple weeks and will let you know how that goes.

You forgot to mention a few more of the facts involved in the delay in shipping of the stem.

True Burgard was behind on the product because it was his first run on the Z400 stems which took more time than expected, but he also had to ship it to Canada which added to the delay. It was requested that it be shipped as a gift, which ended up gettting it held up in customs and returned to Burgard Cycle. Also, Burgard is not a computer person, and requested that you call, but you refused because of speaking French, which added to the delay.

He received your request for a refund, and he will refund your money, but don't blame him 100% for your problems. 1.5 months may seem like a long time to you for a product, but wait till you order shocks from some manufacturers.

Also, I kept you up to date on the status of you order through the process, so don't make it look like you were out in the dark.

What's the status on the Burgard Stems?? I read on here that they are designed just like the stock to accept the stock style clamp and were available for $150. Do they come in +1 length and are they available without a waiting period? Thanks a bunch! NJC

i have had lots of problems shipping to canada lately... including a lost part for this same customer. many delays in customs... all sorts of nightmares.

i dont know who is to blame in this case for the delay... but dont rule out shipping problems... due to customs mainly.

ZRacer dont overturn , i dont wanted to be bad at all just wondered if its normal or not to this deal to take that much time ... As u can see peep give me very positive feedback . I was scpetical to post this thread . I tought it will can take a negative form like it is now ... :disgust
z400Clone
Gest, i don't think it is all negative. You expressed your frustrations with long waits on parts, which nobody likes(me especially). Then ZRacer explained to you the long wait with production of the stems being a little behind and problems with making it through customs getting it shipped to you. You weren't trying to start chit, you were just explaining how you felt. That's ok. ;)

Dont received the stem but i have a refund now ... THX for the service .

I think the service is the worst when you have to leave a message. Products are great but the service is !%$*@#^% unless you talk to them directly.

Ordered 4 stems and got them quickly.
Tried calling several times leaving messages to try to order more w/o a response.

Ordered 2 more weeks ago and don't even know if I'm getting them or if he even got the message.

I've also lost several sales as well as customer because of the lousy service.

I think that sucks when a one simple return phone call would take care of everything, maybe they should hire a temp til they get caught up.
D5-450R-HS-Racer
Just got a call from Burgards and things are being taken care of.
Also told me the best way to order is to email them,
but they have stopped taking order due to a back up.

Maybe they should be hiring??
Sounds like they could use some help!
agarza11
I agree on the phone call stuff. I call over there and 80% of the time i don't get an answer, so I leave a message and of course i never get a call back or an email. When I do get an answer customer service is about a 4 out of 10 (10 being great)

As far as product, I have a set of burgard arms and the arms are great, but my ball joints are bending and breaking in half. Sux when you have these nice chrome arms and then a ball joint snaps to find that the others are bent. Seems like they are taking care of the problem by sending me a new one but it still hasn't got here. But then again how long will that one last.

I ordered some a arms from him two weeks ago. I know this isnt a long time but when I ordered them I asked if there would be a problem getting them to me in a week. He said they were in stock and "they'll go out today". The only reason I need them now is because I'm getting them powdercoated with my frame, I explained this to Izzy so he would know why I needed them. Now my frame has been at the coaters for two weeks waiting for the arms. Now that guys getting pissed that he storing my frame.

I after a week and got the tracking # (it only took about 20 calls to him to get it). I call UPS and what do you know they had been shipped that day and were going to be delivered on Tuesday the 14th. Well Tuesday has come and gone and still no a arms.

The part that gets me is he gave me somebody elses tracking # and he new it. I bet my order hasn't even left yet. I dont get it :dunno

Order something from:

Magic: 2-3 days
RM: 4-5 days
Nacs: 4-5 days
Feather: 5-6 days
Burgard: 14 days and still waiting :angry

Thanks for letting me vent.
nichols05
the only reason Feather took 6 days is because he had to make the parts for me.

i had great service from izzy....then again, i was not buying "burgard" product.

i ended up buying some shocks from him via ebay. he shipped the shocks out quickly and they were in the condition as stated.

this guy has to be busier than hell...but returning calls has to be at the top of his list.....it business! eek.gif

i'll be looking elsewhere for my aftermarket swinger....
Krazy KFX
I ordered a Swing Arm and a Set of A-Arms about 1year ago and had no problems getting them. I ordered ball joints last summer and after a couple of phone calls Izzy placed my order. I agree I think he should hire someone to take orders so it doesnt take up his time. Just keep calling and asking for status of your order it does not help coming on here complaining about it if you have not tried to contact he first.

You must not have read my post I said I call him mulitiple times a day and leave at least one message per day.

I understaned that coming on here and complaining is not going to help me but could have some influence on the next person who is going to order from burgard so they dont have the same problem smile.gif

I think their customer service is terrible and is in need of an improvement. My uncle ordered some rims for me but ordered the wrong size. We both tried calling and leaving messages and never got a return. Now im just gonna try to sell the rims on ebay and if i can get ahold of Burgard, then i will order some 9"s. The rims are great and i would like to have these same ones so hopefully the phone will work icon_cool.gif

Hello all,
This is Burgard Cycle problem thread number "8"
oscar
I ordered a stem from hellbound racing which didn't fit my warrior. I was told to send it Izzy at Burgard. A week after I sent it on 7/18/05 I was told that they would send out a new one b/c the one I sent was decfective. Another week goes by and I'm told that it was shipped or about to be shipped. I've been calling ever since trying to get my tracking number. I keeping being blown off by being told he'll call me back, the number is on his desk, he's in the machine shop or he has to ask someone else. Which one is it???? I feel frustrated b/c I keep leaving messages and I don't get a call back. it's not like I live in PA to go there personally.

Does any have any ideas on what to do or who i can talk to??
RedRiverZ
I have Burgard puls 2 arms. I have been tole that the Ball Joints for replace need to be made by OCAP because they have a larger pivot area. They are also be tie rod end from a 1967 VX. Does any one have info on this?
z400rider14
i think burgard's service is getting better. i ordered 2 ball joints and he shipped them out the next day. i got them today by ups. i called him once to ask if he had shipped them out, and again to get my tracking number and he pickked up the phone both of the times. I think he did a pretty good job.
