THE RULES

1.Only post information that is listed below. If you start babbling in this thread, your post will get deleted. Short comments like "Thanks" or "Good Thread" will be tolerated as long as they are in conjuction with your jetting specs post.
2.If you feel I left something out or something needs to be changed, simply PM me, do not post it in here.

This thread is a trial run only. If it gets enough positive responses, it will end up in the FAQ and will be a very helpful tool for people to get a baseline for jetting. If it does not, it will end up in the trash. I've been thinking of doing this for quite some time, and finally decided to do so.

Each post should contain ONLY the following information:

Carb Type: Mikuni, FCR, Edelbrock (what bore is the carb?)

Main Jet: Please state what type of jets (Mikuni/Dynojet, etc.)

Pilot Jet:

Fuel Screw:

Needle:

*NOTE*Edelbrock guys, modify the above listings accordingly...the first person to post with an Edelbrock gets to set the template for others to follow.

Airbox: List any mods to include filter

Pipe: What brand-Full or slip-on

Engine Displacement: What size is it (434-455) and who's kit (Yosh/Max Power/Athena). Also list compression ratio.

Cams: Intake/Exhaust/None? What kind?

CDI: What brand, what setting if it's adjustable

Altitude: where you normally ride

Are you happy with the setup: Yes or No followed by breif description (this is the only babbling area...and it's only for comments on your setup).

Non-Edelbrock'ers: 'Brock carb numbers (jetting) are always given from full rich positions, i.e., Needle clicks stated as "13 clicks" would be 13 clicks from full rich (full rich would be stated as "0 clicks"). 'Brock carbs = turn right for richer, left for leaner.

Comments: Seems to be rich still, haven't had time to fine-tune the jetting. Last trip was Glamis, ran great at midrange, had trouble pulling 5th gear in sand. Just got new EHS Racing lid w/Outerwears prefilter, will report back after next trip (also to Glamis, 3/18-20)

OK, after Glamis last month and Cal City last weekend, it's a still bit rich but runs like a scalded ape. I ain't messin' wit it no mo'.

Great idea Crazie, this oughta become permanent!!!

Update, 1/2009: Still running this setup, anywhere from sea level to 3000', about eight to ten times a year. Ain't messed wit it yet, still runs good almost four years later...
