Yeah, I have always thought that the tight woods separates the sunday strollers from the real racers! Too bad I'm still somewhere in between!LOL!! Yes, my wife and kids and her parents will all be there. It was kinda funny, after The Farm, they were looking at how exhausted I was, and they were thinkin that I would prolly not wanna race again. When I told them I had to in order to vie for the points championship, they kinda chuckled a little bit. Then they all changed their tune when they found out I placed 9th of 62 quads! Now they are all excited for me to do well, but still somewhat leary that I could get hurt or break my machine. But it feels alot better knowing they are excited for me instead of trying to talk me out of it!
--I thought the tires hooked up awesome!! They cleaned out real well too. I thought maybe they would be a litle hard to slide the rear end, but they are not at all. A great all around tire I think.

WoW!!! What a race!! That was the best track I have ever seen!! Other than a couple of creek crossings that became all but impassible, it was everything I love in a trail. I took a good spill on the last lap. Bent my bars, and stem I think, not sure yet, and hurt my shoulder pretty badly, but I got back on and finished 5th so no complaints! Im not sure how everyone else did, I know snowgasm finished 6th and looked really frutrated about it, but didnt get the scoop on what problems he had. And Bartlettracing took 2nd in my class, so congrats to him as I and a couple others battled with him back and forth all day. Hopefully My quad isnt banged up too much and I can afford to get it ready for next race.

Thanks dogefan1!! I dont know about first, but I do know that I can hang with the best of them. This XC racing is a funny thing im tellin you. Its alot like gambling--the dice roll funny for everyone sooner or later. Your best bet is to stay steady and consistent. There are alot of fast riders taking themselves out of the race by being over-zealous. They push too hard and hit trees and stuff, while the other guys like me just cruise along and pass them by. I look for myself to consistently float around the top 5 all year and hopefully a top 3 overall for the season. Who knows, maybe I will get a win this year even.

Congrats on your finish
I did have a bad day, I'm not to happy with 6th but its better than 7th
It all started at the start, we were on a hill and I kept rolling back as Andy was saying 10seconds. I gave everyone a 8ft head start

I was 2nd to last on the holeshot and got stuck behind a few slower riders who would not let me by and when i finalyl did get by I had to battle up to the front I was in 4th at 1 time and then I would crash, and back to 9th place, battle back to 5th and crash again.I gave up then I was to tired for another push to the front. I had to race on Sunday in Mn and wanted some gas left in my tank.
Jerry, May have broek his wrist hope its ok!!
BTW: I ran a much better race in Mn and won by 9minutes.My first mistake free race.I felt really fast and much more in control..
See ya all at the next race
