Full Version: Tt,short Track,and 1/2 Mile

i plan on running all of these next year. im getting tires,antiroll bar and shocks. i already have a edlebrock race carb.i have a 440 bore kit a intake cam plus +2a arms. Should i put the carb on or keep using my stock carb. i am racing tt,short track,and 1/2 mile racing i need to know as fast as possible thank you guys

I have ran these same events for several years now. For the bore and cam/s and carbto work to your advantage, a aftermarket header and silencer is needed.

As far as the racing setup goes, you need lowering kits(front and rear) and something wider than the stock axle, but don't run wheel spacers.

My setup handles extremely well and took a while to get it there as I rode Honda previous to my Z and setup is somewhat different.

Wheel spacers(unless custom made) don't center up on the hubs well causing the wheel to run off center of the axle which creates an unbalanced condition in the rotation of the rear end. That you don't want at faster speeds nor when jumping in TT. Jumping with spacers if a no no because of the long bolts used to attach the spacers to the hubs/wheelswill bend/break easily.
