Full Version: Smoked A Yfz, Lost To An 80cc
So i was out on the lake today, one of my buddies has a YFZ 450, stock.. Its been beat on, and not well maintained. So anyways, I beat him 3 times in an ice drag by about 2-3 quad lengths.. Then I decided to head over to the oval track, I was riding pretty well, cept my front tires werent grabbing as good as I would hope. This 7 year old kid on an 80cc dirtbike was straight up SPANKING me. I couldnt hold the line on the inside, he could. end of story, i went home with my head down..
Thats pretty funny!! Lost to lil kid!! Should've studded your tires you would've kicked his butt!!

I was studded, just not enough. I only got 500 when i went up to the store, not even thinking.. I put about 200 per tire in the back, and 50 per tire in the front.. last time i studded i went 300 per tire in the back, and 100 per tire in the front.. Oh well! He was studded up really well, and I must say, he was a really good rider for being so young.

Nah, it wasnt much of a "race" just a bunch of people out on the lake having fun.. There was probably 8 or 9 quads, 4 or 5 dirtbikes, and around 20 snowmobiles. I'm going out again today, I'll probably bring my video camera or digicam.

At my local track, Logan Spoonamoore completly DOMINATES everyone there. he smokes me on my 450, the experts that have been racing there for years on their 450's 250's 500's 125's everything. he rides a KX 85 expert and never have i seen someone ride as good as he does.
he just got sponsored by Hooter's and Cycle specialties.
By the way... This kid is only 10.

on glare ice it handles perfect, but once the coarse got chewed up it was all over for me.
The guys w pics were two wheelin around the corners, and I was loose as a goose

Not tryin to say that the raptor is a bad machine, but They usually all come in a few seconds behind any Z with a decent rider on board.
especially on any kind of tight coarse, cause they handle like sh!t
