1. Use the Search button first. You may find all the answers you need without starting a new thread. If you can't find what you need via the Search tool, read on.
2. Describe in detail the actual symptoms. Be as detailed as possible so that the techs don't have to ask you a ton of questions.
3. List all modifications that are pertanent to the problem. If you have a motor problem, tell us your intake, exhaust, piston, carb, etc.
4. Use a detailed subject. Some people are better at one section and not so great in another. Some people only read subjects that hint at the problem. This will help assure you get the most/best quality help possible.
5. Be patient and don't post in the loft. Just because more people view the loft doesn't mean you'll get the best answer there. It might also get deleted if you post it there.
