I'm needing a CDI for racing so i want the best. But i have to stay around the 200 mark.

Just to throw this in - check eBay, once in a while some guy sells Programmable Dyna CDI's for under $250 - not to long ago there was one for $240 and I just saw one for about that same price a week ago.

Anyhow can't tell you what's the best but I see a ton of people go with the Dyna, but I have absolutely no clue sorry

actually I love my vortex, has all the adjustability of the programmable dyna and has 10 preset curves plus has the handlebar mounted switch for 2 selected curves, one for a retarded ignition for starts and then with a flip of the switch full power curve that can be set for any degree timing advance for power, rev limit and high compression, even made more HP than my old dyna.
