Well went riding and I raced a couple of quads, 150ft. One 2005 450r, no baffle. We were on and off in the drag racing, sometimes I beat him, sometimes he beat me. Then I raced an LT-R. He beat me most of the time but I got in front of him a couple of times. He had the baffle out and a cherry bomb. I raced a de baffled kfx, beat him every time. Raced my friends stock z, needless to say, beat him every time. Raced a yfz with an HMF pipe, possibly more. Beat him almost every time. Would've ran more but I blew out a right front wheel bearing so I was out for the day.

EDIT: forgot my mods, for performance all I have is an HMF slip on, 13 tooth sprocket, K&N filter, and a jetted carb. I also have suspension, Elka ST front shocks, Elka LT rear shock and linkage with LSR +1 swinger, and I also have RAZR2's all around. Got more mods but I think the reason I wasn't winning as many is because of the weight of my quad. I have many weight increasing add-ons like bumper, engine and swinger skids, front beadlocks, tires, etc.

yea that stuff adds a lot of weight but i dont know if it would matter that much.maybe i wrong but i dont think so.that 450r sounds right but i dont know so much bout the ltr and yfz.i guess it dont matter if you won but performance wise(not rider)i think the ltr and yfz we put up a little more fight than that.not bashing you dude dont get me wrong just sayin
Paul
Yeah I know I think traction played a big part and I could tell if that strip was another 50 feet then they woulda passed me easily. I think the main reason I won was because obviously traction, but because I have the swingarm. It keeps me from pulling the front end up, so I can just drop it in first off the rev limiter and not pull the front end up at all. Also, I think 7 pounds = a horsepower. My bike obviously weighed a lot more than theirs and I weigh a little over 200 pounds...?

i know what your sayin man.i weigh about 160 now and all my buddies weigh quite a bit more so when they are tryin to figure out why i spank their ass,i tell em,7 pounds=1 hp baby!you fat bastards.lol.and yea i had the same size swingarm on the 450r and it helped out tremendously
Paul
Yeah the guy on the lt-r was a little plus sized so idk why he was the fastest one there and all he had was a cherry bomb and no baffle. It's probably the tire size, little 18 inchers pullin' HARD straight off the line.

oh yea i forgot to mention that also.that does help out a bunch.i osme little turf tamers like that and i could just dump the clutch and not worry bout flyin over backwards because of the swingarm and i spun enough to get me a great hole shot
Paul
Yeah I'm gonna get another set of back wheels since I already have an extra set of front wheels and then get like turf tamers on the stock back wheels and then look for some kinda crappy fronts or something for my extra front wheels.
