just wondering why when i post a new topic i comes up as old at first viewing? it seems other topics stay new far longer than 1 viewing.

More than likely if no one has viewed a post or thread in 15 minutes it turns old. Most forums go by whats been active within a set time...eg: 3 min, 5 min, 10 min, 15 min. This forum goes by what has been in active within 15 minutes. Like the forum I started...it has its own 'internal clock' I guess you can it. So if you posted or started a new thread and the forum time was 5 minutes from the 15 minutes and you leave for that 5 minutes to check other things out and then come back it will be old.

Yep, when you start a thread, or post in a topic, it won't show as "new" until somebody else posts after you did - your post (or new thread) won't show up as new just because you just hit it. It'll show up as "new" to everyone else viewing the board, but not to you.
