I know theres another one of these threads, But its old, and we have a few new michigan members. So whose all out there? Where ya riding at? I wanna ride this weekend, just looking for a location somewhere close to SE michigan. Anyone got a good spot?

Know any good places to ride in lapeer?

Lapeer (Columbiaville actually), Michigan. I dont know of any real spots around lapeer, I usually just ride around our property. I usually head up north to our cabin near mio and ride any and all trails around that area. Im in Wisconsin until august but I will be home for the week of memorial day and plan on hitting up Bull Gap and possibly a day trip over to Silver lake

there is not squat in lapeer to ride.

there is a nice chunk of state land but they don't allow the atv trails anymore.

there used to be a really nice trail in tuscola county going from kingston to deford and back. but they closed it years ago. it was really nice. sandy trail with 7-8 clearwater ponds along side of it to stop and swim and what not.

it sucked, dnr closed it to atv/moto in mid 90's.

i am so ready to ride it aint funny. all winter the weather is nice and my sh!t is torn down. now i'm done and the weather is sh!t.
snowing like a mf'er right now. gonna go and watch the hare scrambles in portland this sunday. want to check it out before i enter my first one.

yeah pms racer im in lapeer waiting for that storm to hit us. figures, my only day off this week and i am all but trapped in the house.

sick of michigan weather and economy. wife and i are talking about moving to either north carolina or nevada. we both have stable well paying jobs FOR NOW. but the way michigan is goin that could be gone tomorrow

amen to that! I'm so sick of snow right now. you can seriously still ride sleds here. its out of control. I can even ride my z to tune the new f'n FCR

The snow is melting.......now I have to work the next 2 weekends and 10 hours a day during the week!!!!!!! I either have all kinds of money.........or all kinds of time..... Why can't I have both at the same time??????????????? I wanna ride!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Michigander here, I'm from Holland, but go to school in Kalamazoo. We ride Silver Lake and the trails up around Baldwin. I also have a couple of buddies with a little bit of land. If anyone knows any other public land to ride in SW Michigan, let me know.

Im just north of holland. No public land around here that I know of. I can ride on a couple hundred acres of fields that surround my house.

There is an old gravel pit in Ionia that almost anyone can ride on, you just have to ask. I have not rode there yet, might go some time this year.

I Actually haven't even picked them up yet.... but from what I've seen it shouldn't be a prob ....... I am used to riding in Glamis .... I rode there w/ reg tires and it was no prob .... I will have to go first before I spend the $$ on sand tires to wait in line.....

Stock tires work great at silver for playing around. Some times we bring both sets of tires for a change in the middle of the day. Got to have padles for the drags.
