Hi all, I'm kinda a newbie to the forum but have been on here a lot. Anyways, I'm originally from Marion, Ohio but I now live in Angola, IN...I go to school up here and I'll be graduating this summer. I bought my second 4-wheeler a '03 Z400 and I'm always looking for new places and people to ride with.

I just got some tips on a couple of private membership tracks in this area that I had no idea about until a couple of days ago. I'm going to check them once things thaw out and they open up but one I heard about is about 6-7 miles from my house here and it's a $40 membership to ride ALL summer with a track and also wooded trails.


Will post more once I find out a little bit more about them...

Also, there's an open track ride day up at Log Road in Bronson, MI, which is about 45 minutes away from me and a bunch of guys that I just met who mostly ride dirt bikes are going to go up on March 8th for their season opener I think...they also have open track rides for 4-wheelers too.

Anyways, just wanted to make a post here and let you all know that there are a couple of good riding spots that are close to the Ohio border...

Found out about a riding spot near New Carlisle, Oh Called Bud's ranch or something like that you havta call to get in, I had the number but I think I lost it. If anyone knows anything about it, PM me

Find out where...it's right near you. Get at me sometime and I'd come down with you to ride it! I found ONE thing on it and it said it's really small...that's it.

ha you have as much chance of finding it as I do......it was kinda random I had a DID chain posted on craigslist and a guy wanted it really bad because he was going riding that weekend at buds, he gave me the number but i lost it. google is our only hope

nope.......it was about a month ago.

i have been over to buds about 10 times, it is only about 15 mins from my house,

mosty trails, a couple of mud bogs, a few climbs but they are not to hard, a good dirt drag strip at the back of his property, that is were most people hang out at, a few small creeks,

i would guess about 200 acres, kind of small you can hit every trail in about a hour or 2,



some alsome ridding if you are in to trials bikes, lots of rock cliffs big rock,logs........

yea +1.........I know I got 1000 acres to ride on at home but only 10 of it isn't flat open farmground

I'td be worth checking out one fine saturday or sunday, I know I can get 2-3 of my friends that have quads/dirtbikes to come.

whats the admission fee? I know you got to call before you can come-atleast that was what I was told.


Hack, its a 3 hour drive from angola, unless you got family down here to stay with over the weekend you might as well go to silver lake, your lucky don't live too far from it.

I am originally from Marion...about an hour and a half away...plus I do have a cousin that lives down in Dayton somewhere...I've never been there but he lives there somewhere and he works at the Children's Hospital. Plus, his brother and his mom live in St. Henry which isn't too far from Dayton. I could make things work...just to ride...

As for Silver Lake, I'm as far if not farther from Silver Lake than I am from Dayton.

i will find his # and call him up to see what the price per ride is, last couple years it was $10 a day, but i herd you got to get a member ship now and it is $15 menbership and 10 to ride

I won't be able to go...I have to help someone move and then I have two projects that I have to finish up for school. I am pretty much writing off the quad until I graduate May 3rd.

3 of my friends drove over there sunday, and one guy wans't quite 18 so they didn't ride, but they said it was awsome and we are for sure going this coming sunday.

I guess its by invitation only or else call ahead of time before you come.

Meade and me and 2 of my friends went to that Hidden Spring Ranch today. Basically a bunch of really rough rocky trails, hardcore rooty hill climbs that had some 300ex riders shitting themselves watching ride up, a dusty drag strip, a bunch mud holes, some really rough jumps with no landing ramps......Didn't get any pictures of the actual riding area but you get the idea

I didn't have any breakdowns, except for bending a heelguard, my Pro-armor linkage skid got knocked off, and my axle nut came loose, and my valves need adjusted bad because It wont hardly start at times. Also need to degree the hotcams, I don't seem to have any topend.

My buddies 660 raptor threw the came chain (or so it apears) judging by the hole in his valve cover I had to tow him out

I'm ready to hit up haspin and the badlands, and my friend wants me to come down to tennesee in july, he went riding down there 2 years ago and he said it beat the h3ll out of this place. Personally that seems like a long ways but he's driving, and It would be a nice weekend trip.


Airbox did quite well, but I know plenty of water got in because I slipped into a 3 foot deep water/mud puddle and had to spin quite a bit and it soaked me and splashed everywhere. I'm prolly going to figure out some sort of lid for this thing.
