Do both... You can still freeride if you race

I just entered my first race, been riding for 3 years in the dunes.
I also went to the track and practiced every friday for 5 weeks before my first race.
Everyone is pretty cool, just hold back and let everyone go first and bring up the back, that way you don't get crunched in the holeshot or first turn, and you can baby the doubles if still unsure of your skills.
PS> Suspension makes your bike more safer and stabler when landing jumps, so you should be running good aftermarket a-arms, shocks.

yeah dude, racing is fun, and adrinaline rushing at some points, most of the time i hit it a little harder when in racing, then just practice, but its something u should deff try out

i just got into racing seriously this year.
The people are really nice and it makes you a better rider.
I would do what everyone else is saying, race AND ride for fun,
thats what i do, every other weekend i race and when im not i hit up the dunes or trails
