As a long time contributing member of Z400Central I find it frustrating not to be able to log in for my numerous daily fixs of Z400Central.com from my home computer. angryfire.gif It simply times out trying to make the connection.
Strangely enough though, when I log-in to my work server from my home computer I can then reroute thru it's internet explorer and get into Z400Central. Why is this a concern you may ask, well 1) my work link server is very slow and doesn't allow any pics to load, 2) I shouldn't be routing thru work anyway as it goes against company policy.
What I find even more frustrating is the lack of response from my PM's to Moderators asking for help and assistance regarding my problem. angryfire.gif
I'm NO computer savie kinda guy but I would sure appreciate anyones help or solution to this problem.

Do you have any type of accelerator for your internet? Mine was not allowing me to get on the site at all and it wouldnt allow me to log in on a different site.

Accelerator - what is that? No changes to my computer, one day everything was working normal, the next day I couldn't log in at all, except thru work link.

Contact your ISP. It's a problem on their end.

ok not an accelerator problem then

Try accessing http://antiquedealersearch.info (Its just an advertising page)

If you can't get to that site either, more than likely your ISP has put a block on the IP range. You need to contact them about having it removed. If you CAN access it, then there may be a problem with your browser, or windows. None of the mods on here will be able to help you with this.

Spoke with them today. They're telling me there is nothing wrong with my connection to the internet. We further adjusted my security setting in hopes of a fix here too, but still can't log in from my home computer. They are suggesting that Z400central.com is not allowing my "mac address" to enter the site and will allow my work link (different mac address) to enter. They say the restricted entry is coming from from Z400central. Now what??????
Have I been banned here or something?????

No problem getting there or any other sites on the net. ISP say they have no restrictions on my internet access. PLEASE, any further ideas?

That's what I figured.

Sprinter...there is no reason you would be banned. Don't jump to that conclusion. If you were banned I probably would have heard about it behind the scenes from the other Mods by now.

I really didn't think I was banned, but I just want to get this sorted out so I can get back to using my computer to view the site fully.

I wonder if your ISP can reset your IP address?
drnez
It doesnt sound like an IP issue at this point, do you have access to another computer at home? I would guess that it may be a browser/cache issue. Are you using IE? Try using firefox or opera instead.
Joshz400_03
wonder if its a cookie problem? Can you view the site? but just not log in at home? Try deleting all cookies and offline files or w/e that is called.. go to tools>internet options>General> Then delete browsing history
project_z400
Go to the tool bar at the top of the page then go to internet options, then delete internet files and cookies. Mabey that will help.

If not try this

http://www.unblockworld.com/

Go there on you "home" computer then scroll down, typ in z400central.com and see if it shows up. Lots of people and workers use these typs of web sites at school or work to bypass sites that are blocked. In my school, they blocked all the recreational sites like sports and stuff so we used sites like those to accsess them.

But if it works that means somthing blocking you from using z400central.com probuly.

I had been having problems but so far I haven't had a problem this week. Multiple people have had problems with the site lately but it has to be a problem on all of our ends it can't be a problem with on the sites end.

Going in thru www.unblockworld.com worked fine from my home computer. My thinking is that Z400central is identifying my home computer IP address and denying access. When I go thru work or www.unblockworld.com I get in b/c Z400central doesn't see the access request as coming from my home computer.
Administrator - Can you check into this?
