The plan is to be there from August 16-20 with my Z-520. There is supposed to be a big drag race event on the flats that weekend, should be pretty sick.

I'll send you pics of my bike if we can commit to those dates so you can keep an eye out...sounds as though your camp will be easy to spot as well!
EVlL
We have 2 toy haulers going up on thursday night to stake a spot for everyone. They are the best for hidding out during the wind. Ill be in one of them. Ill send you pictuers of the trucks/trailers and we should be easy to find. A quad on the other hand sometimes blends in with everyone esp when your ridding and not looking at what other people have. Do you have any info on the Drag race event >? Im interested in that also..
bulldogz400
I'll pull the info and then post it here...

We will be in fifth wheel toy haulers as well, probably a couple motor homes pulling stackers coming with.

Let me dig up the info....free to all who enter. I'll be in the "duner class", trust me won't be hard to spot me you'll know when you see it!!
bulldogz400
I know this is a lot of reading, but you have to know the rules if you want to enter!!!

I am organizing a Drag race for August 18 at the flats. FSCS rules will apply and classes will remain the same as in FSCS. Races will be conducted in the same professional fashion that we are accustomed to. Track will taped off and smooth with a running length of 500 - 550 ft. slightly uphill. 4 - 5 bikes per race will be launched with a large single light like we used to use at 4SW. Trophys will be awarded to 1st and 2nd with a small bore champion and a big bore champion faceing off for the overall title. This is a FREE race, no entrance fee required. There will be a short meeting prior to racing just to bring everyone up to speed. Times will be annouced as we get closer.

I support FSCS completly and in no way is this race trying to compete with the series. There has been alot of frustration over the delays and cancellations with the FSCS and this is a opportunity for us racers to get together, run our bikes, and just have FUN while we wait for the next FSCS race to be announced. I will be contacting as many shops and racers that I can to get the word out. I ask that you do the same. I (Proscape) am sponsoring this event and not asking for anything in return but for everyone to attend the event. I am inviting ALL shops and racers to attend that can make it. I want the races to be as competitive as possible. Please confirm with me if you are definately in.

I am open for suggestions on the title that will be on the trophys, so far we have "Rumble at the Beach" or "Rumble to the Summit". For the overall title between the small bore champion and the big bore champion we have "Big Kahuna" and "King of Coast".

I need volunteers to help with lining up and launching bikes as well as radioing back and documenting results from the finish line. Anyone willing to help please PM me.

Thanks
Tom

This race will have the same "classes" as the FSCS (Four Stroke Champioship Series), so just take the model and figure out which class you would be in! I'll be in the 650 and under Duners Class.

Will be a party for sure...with some of the FASTEST 4 strokes you will see around, guaranteed.
EVlL
ok I havent been to pismo in a few years too long where is the flats ?
bulldogz400
I want to say pole 22? Basically you can follow the fence on the right hand side as you enter the dunes, they are in the far back side. There will be some people camped there so you will know right away if you found the right spot...

I'll see if I can find some pics to help out.

As of now, we have a group of about 22 Trailers going that weekend also.

I'm looking to drag the Raptor and I know Jaybo just did a lot of work to his Z, so he should be down for running also.

Sweet!!

Enter the Rap in the 650 and up duner class and tell your bud to enter his Z in the dune class. I'll be in that one so he can race me as well!!
bulldogz400
EDIT:
New class

250-400cc based bikes duner class. (Means the Z's/KFX/DVX's, 400ex's, etc class). So there you go Z400central members, if you think you're bike has some "pep in it's step" come join me in this class as well! *Just a clarification is you think you can compete in the 450-650 class as well you are more than welcome. I will be in both*

All in good fun, and just wait til you see some of the quads coming for the bigger classes. Trust me when I tell you that there will be more than 1 quad there pushing triple digit HP!!!

Now I'm even more excited. That is the weekend we have plans to be there as well. We have about 8 trailers going. It will be the first time my kids have gone on a trip like this with me. Should be a blast.

It will be the first time I have riden the 400 since I changed the cam chain though. Been riding the dirt bike a lot lately.

It's going to be a circus act that weekend. It's the Portugese holiday that weekend which is always a madhouse. Not to mention the drags which are bringng a TON of people. Not to mention it's still summertime which means it would be busy anyhow.

Duane you going to put the Rappy in the dune class? I would put mine in their but it's bone stock so it would be half-tracked..I'll save myself the embarrassment mhihi.gif

Hey BullDogz, do yuo have any clue what time yuo plan on starting all of the races on Sat?

Rob
bulldogz400
Races begin at 10...the 250-400 cc based bikes are the first class to run. I will be there probably around 8 or so to help set up / get organized.

Where are you guys running the races at. I should be there around 3-4pm on Thursday, we'll be camped 1.6 miles south of pole #2.
bulldogz400
The races are at the "Pismo Flats"...if you follow the fence line on the right (meaning going the same general direction as when you are traveling down the beach) it will lead you to the FAR back of the dunes. You will know when you see it, and probably be able to hear it from a good ways away. I wish I could remember exactly which pole it was by, but I can't. I know that if you are heading "out" into the middle of the dunes you really aren't going the right way. Hope this makes some sort of sense...you'll find it just keep your ears out for a couple drag pipes to lead you the way!
bulldogz400
Here are some pics from the last big Pismo Drag event...some nice quads!

Anyone back yet that knows what happened at the drags this past weekend? They were shutdown the couple of time I went by.
EVlL
I saw some really nice bikes at the drags.. The weather was perfect this weekend so we were always tied between sitting and watching or ridding around. We had a group of 13-18 quads all weekend so it was a little crazy and Psimo was packed in general.

and this girl mobbed all our the dunes with us
