Full Version: New Mods Ate An Ex For Breakfast Today

Not too much to brag about, but the new modded Z absolutely ate my buddies EX up today.

Before my mods, his EX with a 12T front sprocket, Pro Circuit pipe, and no lid was very hard for me to beat. We were fairly even, he would pull me off of the bottom and I would catch up in the top.

But today was the first time we have riden together since the mods, and I smoked the crap out of him. He was not happy. I did not realize how much faster my Z was until we switched and I rode his EX. Used to when we switched, his felt stronger than my stock Z on the bottom. Today, his EX felt like I was in slow motion.

Picking on a poor EX though is like being the worlds tallest midget.

My stock Z was very close to his piped EX.

I have not ran against any 450's and I have never riden one myself. I am very curious to see how I would compare to a stock 450.

Meade, let me know how you do. I would think that you should be as fast as anybody there. I need to get the 434 athena soon don't I? mhihi.gif

i did my build in 2 stages 1st the athena, drz kit, kb valves, hot cams, header..i got a huge gain, but did not susprize me any at all, 2 stage of mods fcr 40mm, alum air box, drz carb to head boot, ex carb to air box boot, a car k&n air filter, and the dyna

the 2nd stage of mods made the biggest gains...it just rev's and pulles for ever

made meade very happy....now am thinking about a -20 or 25 fly wheel weight and a auto cluth of some sort icon_biggrin.gif icon_biggrin.gif

I didn't realize that my mods had improved my machine that much until I rode his EX an was like, wtf.gif . I couldn't ride that turd, which was comparable to my stock Z.

The athena is next for me, as well as a new front end. I need new front shocks, and I need to rebuild my rear elka. It is set up for a 180lb rider and I am 250lbs. I have dented my HMF silencer with my rear brake caliper. Oops.

After the Athena, I am going for a turbo super charged, nitrous nuclear reactor straped to my arse. shocker.gif

You will still need to put some spacers to push out the can, if you get full travel it will hit it anyway. I used about a 1/2" to 5/8"
