I'm from Northwestern Alaska, but I keep a KFX450R (formerly an LTR450 and KFX435) at NormalZ's home who is now in El Mirage. Yearly I come out for Thanksgiving at Ogilby, WORCS in Surprise at Speedworld, and whatever local MX I can do (Mammoth, PMP).
I'm on my 3rd trip to AZ this winter. 3rd dune trip coming up! And, possibly the WORCS race at Lake Havasu in less than two weeks.

Hi, my wife and I are from Mesa, AZ and ride out in the desert at spots like Peralta trail, Box canyon and go to the dunes . I have noticed that in the last month or so that a lot of the riding spots in Maricopa county have been closed do to dust. Most of the spots are state trust land and the biggest one that closed is a spot out on US 60 by the Renascence Festival.

Are any of you here in AZ finding out that your favorite desert spot is closed, and where are you going to ride ? We will most likely go out to box canyon and ride or go to Sycamore Creek, but it's a little further out .

Here is a link that shows some of the closures - http://www.land.state.az.us/pdfs/DustAbatePlusTable.pdf

Let me know where there are spots that people are still going.

Thanks,

I'm in Tonopah 40+ miles west of Phx. That dust law is so stupid, I just go outside Maricopa County and all is good. Stay away from houses and Hwy, leo's only come out for dust if there is a complaint.

Mel and Diane, From White Mountains of AZ.

We do most of our riding on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. But take the Quads to the lower country in the winter.
