Man, that is going to be hot as hell in august.

We went in june and it hit 110 our last day there

I do recomend camping at the north gate at cowboy camp Its a pretty nice place compared to that dust bowl by the powersports place

Haha yup last summer It was about 120 on the dunes. Still rode, I just put my Camel Bak to good use!

We arn't camping either, we just rent a house every time we go down there.

I just got my camelback and i friggen love it! At LS I was loading it with ice from the cooler and then filling it w water. It lasted every bit as long as I did every time, and the water was still cold

Ahh....the good ole western OK heat in Aug. NOT FOR ME! I stay away from that place during the months of June, July and Aug for that reason....too damn HOT! Hard on me and my machine. I might however go a couple weeks earlier than I usually do and make it out for Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 1st). I usually don't go until Sand Fest (mid Sept.) but I'm hoping to switch it up and try a different weekend a lil' earlier this year.

As for the Camelback....hell ya! Well, mine is an "Outdoor Products" brand, but same thing and much cheaper. Has lots of nifty compartments for stuff as well. I never ride the dunes w/o it!
