Just to let you guys know those are stock Blue yfz shrouds, then painted white. I had an old set in storage I was never going to use, and any one can get "blue" yfz plastics dirt cheap.

I can see it now... the re sale on just the yfz shrouds goes through the roof

I'd throw the littlemissE mod in my sig, but it wont be pink they look good though. BUT, I wouldnt want anyone to mistake my z for a yfz

If anyone mistakes her DVX/Z400 (with yfz go fast parts ) for a YFZ well then.... since she already beats "most" yfz's that are modded in drag races and they get bent out of shape cuz she's a girl... wait till we tell them it is a lonely little Z400

The swing arm is a +4" T-Dub. The bumper/ grab bar and swing arm are PC'd black.

Terse is right!!! There has been a few cases at the dunes drag racing where people have gotten upset and quit drag racing, there has also been a few that have sand blasted me while going back to the starting line.

This is sweet! I will definitely be doing this later on down the road. And you can bet to see the "LittleMissE Mod" on my mod list haha.

The how to on the "LittleMissE Mod"

More expensive less time consuming way:

1: Buy a set of Laker brand YFZ rad shrouds. Color of your choice.

2: Install. Maier will work too, just less pointy and shaped a little different. We liked the Laker look and it mimicked the stock YFZ cut perfectly.

Cheap way:

1: Buy a set of stock YFZ shrouds. Any color will do. Blue ones the YFZ crowd will dang near give you them.

2:Cut off the tank side of the rad shroud.

Here is where you need to cut off the tank shroud section and where we chose to trim off the extra:



3: Trim to fit the conture of the side curves. Basically to make it flow. Not much trimming (if any) is needed. We just choose to trim a tab off here and there.

Here is where we chose to "shape" the shroud to flow with the Z400 curves.



Like all fender cuts you can use tool of choice. We used a dremel with a cut off wheel. Heat edges with heat gun/ lighter/ torch to clean up the rough edges. The torch is my favorite

4: The left side lower mounting tab fits onto the lower rad bolt hole.





The uppers we got some brackets from the hardware store. Just straight brackets with the hole pre drilled in it. Cut them to fit the length you need. There is a hole in the top of the frame tube near the mounting point for the front fenders that you can bolt one side of the bracket to and the other to the upper mounting tab of the shroud.

The right side (brake side) need a hose clamp through the lower mounting hole of the shroud and around the lower down tube of the frame.



The upper uses the same bracket set up.

5: Once all is trimmed and mounted the way you want. Buy some made for plastic spray paint and spray them to the desired color. We used just White, and it matched perfect. We also used Krylon Fusion spray paint.

6: All done. Take pictures. Show off to friends.

7: Add "LittleMissE Mod" to your sig

* Note our upper brackets are not on as we are making mounting point/ brackets for the lights.*

Now go out and ride and enjoy cooler radiator temps!

I am keeping the quad plain for now. I really like the white plastic and I am not sure what graphics I want to put on there. When I put graphics on my quad it probably will not be a graphic kit, it will be different stickers that I have chosen.

All the kits mention so far are ones that I have seen lots of different people use and I want to be different from the rest. I like the looks of the graphic kits mentioned but they are not for me.

I have ideas for what I might want but I am waiting awhile to make sure that is what I want. For that fact I will probably keep the plain white plastics til sometime after Christmas.

this is freakin SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just bought shrouds off a yfz guy on central =) 60 bucks shipped, im stoked for this mod because i was gonna try bending up some shrouds with these 1/16" sheets of stainless i have but this is way way way cooler, im gonna paint mine black though, or gunmetal.... nice mod!

well i was most likely gonna order them off this person on yfz central, but then i saw the ones that match my hood, carbon fiber look =) so im kinda in a toss up on what to get for sure, but they are blue, ha ha i think they might be from you or someone you know, now that i think of it the pic the person posted up on yfz central looks exactly the same as your pic in the write up lol

ha ha and whats this secret? well after biting my nails all day about this i just bought new pads, no rotor, and the maier carbon shrouds =) i couldnt help it ha ha even if its fake carbon fiber its still sweet, half the people that see my hood thinks its $300 anyways but i still wanna know the secret because im still flossin bright pink in my sig. lol

The fake carbon will look good! The Maiers will fit the same way as the Lakers just not as pointed as the Lakers. I think you'll like it alot.

ha ha k, but yeah i really like the look of yours, and i was thinkin about gettin just the black laker ones but i figured somethin there is better than nothin, and the other thing i wanted to try and do since these ones dont have the long "tail piece" like yours do.... i wanna try and see if i can shim them out or something on an angle to make them open up more in the front and scoop more air in ya know , i figured those would be a good set to try out

ha ha the 24th is when utah was founded like 105 years ago or sometime around then, so every shop was closed it sucks, ut i did see some pretty good fireworks last night, ummmm.... i got the carbon fiber look ones that maier makes

yup it was good ol' utah day! whoopty doo! but yeah i was a little iffy on the looks of them but it was either the carbon look maier scoops for 60 or the carbon look side panels like you used for 95!!! so i just went the cheaper route, it should still look pretty good, they look good on a yfz cuz they had a pic of them installed on some website, they arent that bad, but i should get them tomorrow or latest friday =) ill post pics when i finish them for sure

So this is where my YFZ shrouds are going to end up when terse receives them huh? Who would have thought they'd be on a Suzuki.

HaHa!! Duane you crack me up! Yep this is where and what I plan to do with them shrouds. I have 2 other Z bikes here that will want the shrouds. 1 right away, and the other later on down the road.
