Me and a few buddies rented a track today. Wolfe Creek in Protorville if PeeWee is reading this.

It was too dusty to race, so we decided to time each other running hot laps. We all ran our own bikes and then traded etc.

We have dragged all three of these bikes before, and the YFZ is slightly faster than my Z and we both absolutley smoke the EX. The EX is geared very low and does well on short tracks.

Basically today, all three of the riders ran their best times on my Z. I ran the second fastest time on my Z, 59.3 seconds, and my buddy that owns the EX ran the fastest time, 57.5 on my Z. The same rider ran a 58.8 on the YFZ and 59.4 on his EX. I couldn't break the 1:00 mark on the YFZ. The mods on the Yammie are GYTR pipe, jetted, K&N, wheel spacers, and he turned his front rims around.

When I rode the YFZ, it didn't seem to handle nearly as well as my Z, but it did have more hit when you came out of the turns and had to hit step-ups and doubles.

I have been thinking of getting a LTR and still probably will, but this was a real wake up. My buddy that has the EX absolutely loved my Z. His remarks were, handles amazing and is geared perfect. No hesitations what so ever. He thought the YFZ had a bog. I didn't like the clutch on the YFZ or the fact that you had to keep it reved really high at all times.

Bottom line, my Z was the fastest on the track for all three riders today.

Thanks to Z Central for all of the help with my upgrades and installs. Thanks again. z400rules.gif

The YFZ probably handled like crap due to the fact the front rims were flipped, that makes them handle like a$$.
