ya padla brats are the best, abit out of my reach dollar wise, still the best tire for sand there is, skats extremes come in second .

I borrowed some padla brat 9 paddle tires once that my friend had. I only ran them for a hour before I took them off. Not very good traction compared to my 22" 8 paddle hauler extremes.

I'm with farm, I borrowed a set of 18 baddla brats and the whole was terrible, top end was great though! I'll stick with my 10 paddle extremes for now. JMO

For hill drag racing you are not going to want more then 8 paddles probably 7 would be better. You dont want the paddle to be pulling you down the whole way up the hill.

I had Sandstars before. Now there on the wifes quad.
Last thing you want to do is over paddle your quad. I suspect the "9 paddle" brats were over paddled, thus the dislike comments above. Check my sig for my combo.
I've riden a nicely mod'd Raptor 700 with 10 paddle extremes. They provided way too much hook up and you could never keep the front end on the ground. Not really what you want trying to hillshoot in Oregon. Plus they'll limit your top end as your engine simply won't pull them to the rev limiter in 5th.
Call Joe or Dave at Fullerton Sand Sports (714) 898-2049. Tell them what you have, where you ride and what you want from the tires. They are very knowledgable and I found them to have excellent pricing and service.

If I were to get Haulers, how many paddles should I get? 7 paddle? 8 paddle? All stock now but will have mods in a few weeks.

What mods are you going to get? What type of drag racing are you planning on doing? Uphill or flat?

Full exhaust, filter, lid off, rejet...the basics for now. I plan on using them for doing both riding around and drag racing. The dunes here dont have many flat areas. So no matter where you are racing, you are going uphill. Hope that helps. I am considering buying new and if so want to make sure I give myself the best advantage that I can.

7's will be better in your case I think that the 8's will just slow you down.
At this point I am still running 7's for flats and most likely will be for hill climbing as well.

That is what I was thinking. I am watching around for a good used set but if not I am ordering new ones in a week or two.

also all dunes vary in sand.. example what paddles work great in cali prob wont be best in michigan.. some places sand is heavier than others...
