Hey Normalz.
I don't wanna be picky or anything but I just can't see the purpose with a sticky that has broken links to pictures and such.
It kinda makes meaningless to read a post that for instance explains how a Z throttle should be modified when half the pics are gone. The post is sort of dependent on those pics.
So , please for the sak of keeping the quality of this forum. Fix the broken links.
And this goes for every thread out there, not just this FAQ fcr thread.
I do know it is much to ask, perhaps too much. But I just wanna have a high quality forum.
I understand exactly what you're saying... However...
This quad was dropped in showrooms at the end of 2002. 5 1/2 years ago. The guys that figured out the tips and tricks on this thing are from a long way back, for the most part. Many of them (and their accounts) haven't been seen nor heard from in a long time. Alot of the picture hosting they did - well, those accounts have either been stagnant, or deleted now. Not by anybody here, but by them or their hosting service. Nothing we can do about that stuff.
Now, with the information up, we have alot of the instructions and details still available. The pics are gone in lots of posts. That does suck. We still have alot of people here to explain the procedures, or figure out what the pic-poster was talking about.
So, is it better to get rid of the information altogether, or leave it mostly intact and use it? I think it's better to keep it, even if pics are gone. I'd put the pics in there if I had access to where ever the original posted hosted them at, but i don't have that info, and neither does anybody else. We can't possible go into threads all over this board and fix broken links, because we have no access to the original info... How would we accomplish that?
If anybody wants to re-write an article and take new pics, have at it. Let me know when you're finished with it, and I'll compare it to the original article, then pin the thing. Camaro1976 did that on an article, and it turned out kickass! I pinned it immediately.
