just wanted to see if anyone was going to dunefest this year. was looking for a couple people from washington that are heading down there. or maybe get a a huge bunch of people together for a trip down.

I'll be heading down tha way. Except I'm coming from Portland. It will be my first Dunefest, but it sounds like it is going to be fun. Are you camping on the sand or in a lot?

i havent made any plans yet, and it would just be me by myself. since none of my friends are into quads. part of the reason why i posted this just trying to meet some people that are into atving, and yea it will be my first dunefest too. where do most people camp on the sand or a site?

any names of places to camp at?

There are a few campgrounds around there...Discovery Point RV park and Half Moon Bay. Those have direct dune access. There is another one down the road, but its about a mile ride on gravel, so not too good on paddles. Discovery Point has full hookups if you have an RV and Half Moon does not. Discovery also has soom rooms you can rent as well. Not sure how much, but might be worth it if you get a few people to go in on it.

You can try sand camping, but I'm sure it fills up fast and if the wind is blowing much, it would suck to be in a tent.

I've never been to dune fest either. We are headed down to winchester the first week of september.

So how was Dune fest this year? I havent made it there for the past couple of years its just getting too busy for me. (actually was in florence last weekend) I worked for Mod quad about 3 years ago and got to sit on vender row and do nothing all day but is was still fun.

i had a fun time at dunefest. i camped on the sand. i met up with some people from olympia and hung out with them. the stunt show was kinda lame and the bands werent all that great but over all i had a fun time demoing the different manufacters stuff and watching the drags and the motocross. and of course all the different partys at night time
