anyone here do much deer hunting? i am in Virginia and am looking to take a trip out in the mid-west to take a nice buck with my bow! i have been looking at hunting farms but they are so expensive, i was just seeing if anyone would be willing to allow me to come out and do some bow hunting with them on their farm!

with over a 100 views guess nobody hunts, heck if you do post some pics lets see whats lurking your neck of the woods, or was!

I do a little hunting......not as much as I used to, I never had any patience. We got about 10 acres of woods on our farm......but we already got 3 other jokers besides me hunting on it.

Plus a buncha poachers.

haha poachers suck, they ruined a place i used to hunt, a man was letting me and a buddy bow hunt only on his 25 acres and some guys came in there and shot the woods up with shotguns 1 day when we werent there and the man said nobody was to hunt it anymore except his grandkids, but yeah i had always hunted with my dad when i was younger and we used dogs, but when i got into high school about jr year i meet some guys who bowhunted, and i knew nothing about it, i got me a cheap bow and killed a doe my first day and have been doing it since then, about 7 years now, very fun, but the bad thing is here in Virginia it doesnt get cold till the end of Dec. and Jan. but the season is over here the first weekend in Jan., last year the last day of the season it was almost 80 deg.!

ya we are putting up a trail cam so maybe we'll catch some interesting pictures this year

yeah i got 1 from my g/f last year for xmas, i am hanging it up next weekend along with some ladder stands!

yea you should come out here. in western ND we have muledeer, whitetail and antalope or pronghorn. whitetail deer suck. however license apps were due on june 15. unless you hunt with a bow you can get that over the counter. bow season opens labor day weekend and gun season opens the 7th of nov at noon for 16.5 days. i dont know how you do it there, but out here there are no trees to put stands in. just sit concealed on a hill and be read to take shots out past 400 yards.

Hey Im new to the site so just getting to some of these posts. I am from central Illinois and the whitetail hunting here
I have to say is Awesome. Last season wasnt that great anywhere but still lots of action. Ive been bow hunting
for about 6 years and love it. Just though I would through a reply out there.

I got a nice 10 point last year over by Kirksville, Mo. My family has a 300+ ac. farm there.
