It's been a while since I've been to the dunes, I was thinking about planning a trip to Little Sahara in Waynoka next Month (October)

I was hoping I could find out how the weather is in October out there. Im from MO so we get fair Autumns, but by the end of October the weather starts to take a turn for the worst.

There is a group of 5 or 6 of us going the first weekend in Oct. The weather should be perfect. Oct 2-5th.

Firebug, looks like the average temperatures for the beginning of October are high of 80s during the day and low of 50s in the evening. This is identical to what the weather was like in April when we went. Perfect duning conditions!

Oct is my favorite month to go. I've been to LS about 3 or 4 times during the month of Oct. Light jacket or sweatshirt at night and a T-shirt during the day. Perfect. You'll think you've died and gone to dune heaven!

Thats good to hear, last time we went it was in the middle of april and had 100+ temps

Man, we were there the first weekend of April and the weather was perfect. A small cold front came in the first night, it got cold waiting around for the Raptor transport, but other than that it was perfect.

Have good trip! I was just there last week and it was in the 80's every day. First time to Little Sahara and it was definitely worth it. Had an absolute blast!

Have fun. We just got back today from 3 days of riding. Make sure you take valve shims, no one has them in Waynoka.

Ok thanks, just got the new cams and drz kit in last night. I will definitely need some shims

Nice. I ended up having to do a valve adjustment while there. I had to drive to Enid to a dealership to get some shims. I got it back running. I had to buy like 10 shims for the same price as my whole kit that I could have just taken myself.
