I would really like to get rid of my reverse knob like every other Z owner, but every thread I find has a brand name clutch lever. I have found several real cheap dirt bike levers on ebay, but Im not sure if they work the same
http://shop.ebay.com/items/__lever-hot-sta...tem400001947820If they work the same Ill pick one up, I dont care how they look, just need a cheap solution.
thanks

Might be a dumb question...........is what you're saying is that you use the hotstart lever in place of the reverse knob?

yes but it requires a little work because the reverse knob had a small barrel end and the hot start is larger. its really easy to do with a roll pin or in my case i bought a nylon sleeve from Lowe's and drilled and cut it to work. its pretty easy

I did a google search right after I posted and saw that's what it's all about. I had seen the aftermarket lever made to replace the knob but not this adaptation.
Has anybody tried using the ASV hot start that mounts onto the right side brake reservoir clamp?
btw, thanks Eric, I got the stuff in the mail.....should get my cams any day now!

the asv one will work but you will need to change the barrel end like eric said. you will have to do a little re-routing of the reverse cable too

Ive had my asv lever with hotstart for the past two years. all i did was put silicone in the hotstart lever, didnt get any sleeve or anything. Its been fine for two years.
