Full Version: Carb To Head Boot

I can't find the post, but there was one.

It has to do with the C2H boot and the length effecting power.. and the carb and filter boot length.

I'm thinking of using a longer C2H boot but don't wanna kill my performance.. Wondering about clearance issues with a new carb. And can't remember if it changes the power curve or just response time.

Its not just the c2h boot, its the total length from the valve to the air filter mount.

The proper length is hard to figure out because it depends on many factors. In general, shortening will promote higher rpm, and longer will promote lower rpm. The subtle difference made in a c2h boot wont be a huge difference.

Thanks CFM. much appreciated.
I think I'm going to shorten the overall, but maybe make the C2H boot a fuzz longer.
