does anybody know if the 85-86 and 87-90 are the same? i found an 86 frame and would like to put my 88 guts in it if it will work. if not i guess i will repair mine. thanks guys.

I'm not sure what the difference's are other then the swingarm and carb set up, but I've heard the frames are different

No they are not ...
The 85-86 are interchangeable.
The 87-92 are interchangeable.
Most parts from the 85-86 WILL NOT interchange with the 87 and UP

85-86 same quad 87 different in some parts 88-90 also different in some parts 91-92 frame, swingarm and pipe different
87 up has power valve and 6 spd tranny
