Has anyone ever used other parts for their 80? Like for example a sprocket from another machine or The rear shock from a dirt bike. Just curious if anything different will work on these guys.

I just used suzuki stuff on mine. after I had the race moter built. I went to suzuki and got the diffrent sprockets in diffrrent teeth. as for the rest. its all lt80 or nothing. what were you thinking? If I dont know I know the right guy to ask.

I'm sure you are speaking of Jack Moore. LOL he's well known for his knowledge of these minis. I am in constant need of information from him. Right now with the 18" snow hogs on the rear we are using a 13 tooth front sprocket. Would like th find a 14 if possible. Also was curious about rear shock conversions. Without paying $300 for a works shock.
Aside from the motor, we are pretty much stock right now.

yep jack moore! he is the man. I have his number on speed dial. what chain are you using. the 420 or 520? if you are using the 420 I might have a 14 tooth for ya. last year he built me a motor and holy crap. its awsome!!!!!!! im using the 13 tooth becouse of my slender 300lbs build. let me look and see what I got. let me know the chain. stock or the 420?

I'm using a 520 chain. 13 front and stock in the rear.
