Hello All,

long story short, I have a friend of a freind who is supposed to have a hook up on blingstar bumpers cheap. I checked there website but cant figure out which one i want.

I am leaning more towards the Victory bumper, 2nd choice the x country rodeo bumper, and last place the flight bumper.

My question is, which bumper seems like it would look the best on a 2006 ltz 400 white/blue?

why do people add bumpers anyway?

which one seems like it would have the most protection?

is blingstar a good bumber overall?

pics are below thanks again guys...

The victory

The x coutry rodeo bumper

The flight bumper

I personally like the x-country bumper...i like the built in skid plate it actually serves a purpose in my opinion whereas the others just add a little crash protection...

Bumpers are mainly for looks. They serve as a little more protection, but not much. If you run into something, any bumper will bend. Yeah Blingstar bumpers are fine, my girlfriends quad has one. (I can't say the same for their nerf bars). Of those 3, I'd get the flight 1st, x country 2nd, and the victory 3rd.

the X country will be your best bet for protection if your choosing from blingstar, the victory bumper is mainly for looks, and the flight bumper would be last.

The first bumper is somwhat like the DG I had. From experience that little piece sticking sown is waiting to reach out and grab a stump or rock on the trail and give you a nice case of "nuts-to-the tank" . The second one has a built in skid there and it would deflect alot better. The third one has the point stickin down like the first but it sits a lil higher which means your frame is gonna catch that stump and put you right over the bars.

^^ x2..
Personally I'm running TAG.
If the world was coming to an end I'd choose the x country, or flight.

Hey easy on Blingstar. They are built very well. They are built as well if not better than PRM and DG. I have never seen a Tag bumper so I can't say. But the x courntry that I have is built very solid. They are not cheap crap like pro armor.

I would personally get the XC bumper. My order goes XC bumper in first, XC bumper in 2nd and XC bumper in 3rd. The other two look like they are designed more for MX that Trails.

My buddy had a DG like the last one and hit a smaal tree like 3" in Diameter and his bumper bent. My stock bumper does better than that.

thanks for all the reply's guys, it looks like if i do get 1, it will be the x country, i cant see what you mean about possibly catching catching something in the bumper on a trail with the others. I dont ride MX at all ( on my quad atleast ) The trails I ride honestly dont have tree stumps either but all can help. I really dont need it, i have to find out how good the price will be i guess that will be the deciding factor.

my only wonder is how quick the built in skid plate on the x country, will get a bunch of scratches and look like crap.

Here is the bumper I was speaking of. I hated that thing fromt the day I brought the "Z" Home. The final straw was when It tangled with the stump. I went with the AC black CC bumper. The build int skid should deflect a stump like that.

Front view of mine.

That DG bumper is the same exact one my friend had. It lost a battle to a small tree.

I hit a christmas tree today (couldn't stop in time) and snapped it in half. And those things have some pretty thick stumps.

so my next question is should I get Black or polished alum? i think polished cause i dont have black wheels, but dont want to look all blinged out

polished always sticks out but looks good doesnt matter to me either way its gonna get dirty

I have the PRM baja bumper that I got used for half the price. Great bumper....lots of well braced protection and the front skid helps glide over stumps / rocks and not get hung up. It's not the prettiest but seams like it is pretty fynctional.

Of the three above I'd say get the X country in polished aluminum. It will match with your wheels and nerfs.

I had the flight bumper on my z when I got it and I hit a tree strait up and it broke the weld at the bracing. I didn't hit it hard either.

I'd go with the black personally. Cuz its gona get scratched like u said and black doesn't stand out as bad.

No matter what bumper you get they are mostly all one shot deals... wether the weld breaks or bends.. they are ment to do it.. It absords the impact and breaks alowing your frame not to get tweaked...(as bad) depeind on your crash...

As far as which is better... go for looks.... if your going to crash n hit ur bumper.. your bumper is going to get damaged no matter what. Some do break easyer than others... but it all depends how and where you hit them.

IMO.... the x country looks nicest

hey man the X Country looks the best. would get it in black.

XC COUNTRY ALL THE WAY!!!!

i love the look of the "bull horn" style bumpers, plus that bumper is built like a brick shithouse!
