My friends got 22-11-9s on back and it will climb near anything if you know how to ride but doesn't take turns worth crap. pretty good tires overall but not the best handling and not for road, wear quick.

I've been running the 22" ones and like them alot. great traction in the mud, and on hills will climb most anything as already stated.
The 22"ers will kill your gearing if running stock. I run 13T front, 41T rear with most all extras in motor short of BB. As for turning, not a problem if you can make them spin.

Anyone else run mud/trail tires on the board? I don't mx and my local trails are always nice & sloppy wet. Just how I like it! blah.gif

My stockers have been shot for 2 years and I'm really tired of getting stuck every ten minutes. I love going through the sh!t, not around it!

What all is out there? Mudlite SP, Kenda Bearclaw... any other recommendations?

Those Mudlites look bad a$$...

KFXguy2006
Look at the Kenda Knarly XCs. 21x11x9 I just got a set and I'm happy with them so far.(only one ride) They are inexpensive and seem like they will hold up nice for the riding I do.

I would rec. the bearclaws over mud-lites. My Father-in-law has mudlites on his 06 Grizzly 660 and I had bearclaws for the winter. With him in 4wd and us being only 2 he got stuck A LOT more than I did. Damn glad he has a wench n that 750lb biotch.

But if you know how to do it all aftermarket tires should do. Being in the right gear to prevent slipping/spinning and not too low to bog. I run the RAZRII front and rear know and in the swampy section of my woods I do just as good if not a little better.

Leave the mud tires on the Utilitys. Sport quads need sport quad tires. Mudlites and the like don't handle worth a crap. If you wanna play in the mud holes buy a utility. ;)

thats but i like playing in the mud and it think its cool and kicks up alot more much then utilty!!!!! so

I have holeshot HD's on mine and there great in the mud, the only downfall is the weight. i still like them, i do a lot of muddy trails and i can get through some spots that the utilities have to winch out of, there to heavy. good tires and go like hell!

Like i said above, i had them musta been a phase i thought they threw the BIGGEST roost ever, but they wore out really quickly (few months (5.5)) And they popped off the bead and didnt set correctly, you spend your money how you want, buut i thought they where a waste of money. Get the klaws like everyone says, everyone buys them for a reason, cheap, good, and LONG lasting i love mine, 7 rides on track and the tread looks like the day i took them home!

Check out the Kenda Klaws. The open pattern releases mud easily and they are reversable (mud vs hard). Not completely convinced that it makes a difference but I've haven't flip-flopped them under the same riding conditions to compare. The only drawback that I found with the 22's is that they seam pretty heavy but these are my first set of aftermarket tires so again, nothing to compare them to but the stockers. Overall, I've been real happy with them. Huge improvement over stock.

Same with the RZRII, to get to my trails I hit this road for about 6 miles and they show no signs of wear yet after a month of riding on the street every time I got out. Back and forth like 6 times a day. So a total of 12 trips on a 6 mile long road and no tread wear yet. I love em.

Whoa! Slow down buddy! I have this hoss to play in the mud. But that's for when I want to get rack deep or go floating out to the middle of the lake. I was looking for a sport tire with a better tread profile for sloppy trails. The stockers mud up way to fast and don't self clean worth a damn.

KMGLTZ
i have rear mudlites on my spare rims and they are terrible in everything but mud. they do not grip on gravel roads at all. do not buy these tires for your main tires. Also, who in their right mind would ever put the front mudlites on a 2wd sport atv? mhihi.gif
z400rf
I have an extra set of dirt devils. They crawl through anything that they're ment for. They will get you out of some hairy trails. All depends on what you ride. I have razrs and never could complain. They're great everywhere. Of course a 2wd will occasionally get stuck no matter what tires are on it.
