I found out my cousin is buddies with the owner and he's going to see what he can get me. He said they may be making them for the z's now but if nothing else the kit for the yfz is made to go on a fcr 39 (when I upgrade my carb) and I bet it would bolt into a z frame somehow...........might get me a freebie! icon_cool.gif

A little pricey IMO... But they look like a good intake
SVT
They have been around for a while LME runs one on her quad. There a little tricky to tune properly. You kinda gotta set them up properly on a dyno to get the max power out of them by cutting the intake runner length. Lots of 450R & YFZ guys use them.

I have one...its awsome. I used the yfz one
armstrong87
i also have a yfz one it works great but i never had to cut mine
LittleMissE
I haven't cut mine but tried a cut on on the build in my sig and it didn't increase anything so we just left it like it was. We will probably playing around some more with it after the 470 build. But I run the yfz one. I personally think it is one of the best out there on the market...the price is to much for some people but oh well.

I spoke to my cousin and he went by there and told them I had an LTR.......anyway sounds like they are in the process of making one for the LTR.
Once I get an fcr carb I'll see what kind of deal I can swing. Might see what about getting on their dyno as well. It's about 20 minutes from my house.

X`s 2...I just have a hard time justifyin` quite that much for it is all (same as I can`t really justify the price I paid for the Airaid intake system that I have on my pickup...even though I went ahead & bought it anyway though mhihi.gif ...but I was makin` a little bit better money back then so it wasn`t that much of a concern to me at that time).

I`m confused as to why your cousin told `em that you`ve got an LTR though?!?!?! wtf.gif

I was thinkin` that FCI already makes a kit for the LTR`s?!?!?! (I`m THINKIN` that fakie has an FCI intake on his LTR?!?!?!).

because my cousin don't know chit about quads.
I could be mistaken, maybe he said they were going to make one for a Z.......but I think they were working on the LTR.
Fakie probably has one for a YFZ going to FCR carb.
LittleMissE
I was pretty sure they already made an FCI for the Z a while back...I could be wrong but I thought they did. I only use a yfz one b/c there was 1 laying around.

NOTHIN` wrong w/ that!!! Those are usually my favorite kind of mods!!! (utilizin` stuff ya already have layin` around & that`s already been paid for once...that way there`s no more shellin` out more money!!!). icon_biggrin.gif

So to all who are running this on a Z. Do you have to have a FCR or will the YFZ FCI fit the stock carb?

I don't remember off hand but I know the FCI makes more....or else I would still be running my old EsR.
LTZguy
its been a while but from what i remember fci claimes 1-1.5 more hp over the esr. I can tell you its one nice expensive piece of plastic. to me, well worth it. Everything fits better. It will work with the stock carb, keihen, and fcr carbs. I have a keihen.
