My wife wants a set of nerf bars on her 400. She wants to keep the stock pegs and heel guards.

Could you please post up pics of your rides with nerfs on them. On the websites they just show the part so you really don't know what they look like on the bike.

Here are my AC pro pegs, they have the guard and peg built in but i think they are 100% better than stock

I ran through different picture folders and find these that show the front portion of the bars.





The mounting system on these attaches to the front motor mounts and the cross tubes go between the frame and merge both sides. One thing I did do was add a couple layers of Gorilla tape to act as a buffer to reduce vibrations where they slip together.

Just to clarify those are the ac propeg blacklines...the regular propegs don't have the nets going all the way under the peg, instead they have a solid heel guard.

FYI they dont stay shiney that long, especially if you trail ride, track ride or dune ride lol, they will go to unshiney...

as long as you wash it and polish it, other wise the sand is the worst, sand blasting it, you know how it works... I am with you, clean it with the pressure washer real quick and throw it up, only time i really wash it is beofre a dune trip, and those are done for a little while...

i want to upgrade my nerfs to either the pro armors or the tusk/alba/rock propegs. I think the pro armors might look a little outta place on my quad though.

Heres mine, old white bros. propegs painted black, i just took off the heelguards cuz they kept braking.

This pic is 1 from WAYYYYY back when my `03 Z was approx. a month old...IF THAT!!! (check out how many stock components are on that baby!!!...now THAT`S one pure RACIN` MACHINE right there lemme tell ya!!! )

Anyway...here`s what the crappy DG nerfs look like...but they DO shine up quite nicely when ya polish `em up! (they`re still on my Z & yeah...I`ve got `em all polished up fairly nicely now).

& here`s what the "old original style" AC nerfs/IMS Propegs & seperate AC heelguards (the style that Blake & Mitch had both mentioned previously) look like that are on my `03 KFX that are also polished up nicely...the pic isn`t the best though since I had to use the built in cam in my laptop to get some pics of it due to the fact that I don`t own a digi-cam!!!

Hmmmmmmm...I see it looks like you`ve been sprucin` up the ole girl c.w.mullins!!! ...she`s lookin` pretty good man!!!
I`m likin` those newer front shocks on her for sure!!! & I`m even likin` that black Pro-Armor front bumper on there too!!! (& that`s kinda surprising even to ME!!!...since I`m usually not all that fond of black wheels, nerfs, bumpers, etc. aka the "blacked out" look...since I`m kinda old-school yet when it comes to aluminum parts just bein` a "natural" finish & polishable to a near mirror like luster & all).

thanks jets i have sunk a lot of money into this quad in the last month or so. I was going with the black out look but it was just two black for me so i sold my back black rims and pute the silver ones back on but i still have black front rims on it. It doesnt look as bad as i thought it would. Thanks for the compliment again. SVT sold me the shcoks as well they do look good but i got to be honest i was scared at first with the yellow plastics and white shocks but its not as bad as i thought.

lol and by the way this is my old boy i have two daughters and a wife there are enough women in my family lol. The wife calls it my son lol
