4-Strokin

Guys I heard a "Z's" axle nut is apparently the same thread pattern a the flywheel shaft......38mm x 1.5mm thread pattern. If so I am going to make a tool on the lathe and weld the nut to the fixutre so in return I have a homemade flywheel puller. Can anyone verify this???????Also does anyone have a SPARE axle nut laying around that I could buy. Thanks!!!!

im in need of a flywheel puller asap!!! i searched and read about the axle nut flywheel puller so i decide to price the axle nut. i was looking on bikebandit.com and there are two differnent axle nuts so im unsure if which one i need. on the left side there are two axle nuts that are $28. the second one is on the right side of the axle and its only $8. so do i need the nut from the left side or the right side??? im assuming the left side but dont want to order the wrong one.
(sorry about jumping in your thread with questions instead of answers, i figured it would be pointless for me to post a new one when u got one with a similar topic.)

it the one on the sprocket. you can buy a puller off ebay for around 40$. i would pay the 40 before i paid 30 for a nut then spent hours in the shop fabbing the rest to save the 10$

either of the nuts work just fine. I'll sell you a nut for $5, I think thats what a shipping envelope is

the nuts by the sprocket are sold as a set. the one on the right that he is talking about is by the brake hub

yeah the brake hub nut works too. I have all 3 and either of them would work.
Let me add some more info. The inner sprocket hub nut, and the brake hub nut both work the way they are. The outer sprocket nut threads on a few turns, but to be safe I would just grind down a little on the part that isn't threaded just so it threads onto the flywheel a bit more and is safer
