is there any one out there that know how to get more power out of a z for little or no money. i already have a able full pipe, the air box kit, and the full jet kit. this bike runs good i would just like to have more out of it. thanks.

probably albas adaptor for the k&n filter. alba has a "kit" they offer with the full exhaust.

400ex boot, goes from your airbox to your motor its a much better design but you will have to cut it to fit, I have not done this yet but I hear its a good mod to do and it's cheap around $20

After a full pipe and airbox mods here is the order that I reccomend purchasing power upgrades though I would reccomend suspension first!
Here are a couple of ideas:
DRZe base gasket: will increase compression. cheap power. Must run high octane pump gas.
400 ex air boot: Increased air flow
13 tooth front sprocket: won't change power of motor but will feel quicker down low (acceleration). You lose top speed as a trade off.
Cams: more costly (may need pr install) but should be able to find a pair on e-bay or in for sale section(ton of info on lift etc) Hotcams are the more economical choice. Old style seem to be prefered on this sight if you can find them .
Valve springs: either DRZ valve springs or whatever you prefer. I us kibblewhites (only necessary if you go to new CDI box.
CDI box: If you do teh above mods I highly reccomend a CDI box to take advantage of top end power and over-rev from cams.
Port and polish: your choice but I firmly believe in a good P&P
Carb: can be purchased and an advantage at any stage. I recommend 39mm FCR but an edelbrock is good also
big bore kit: Athena or other. Expensive and probably the last thing after teh above mods including teh carb but very worth it if and when you get there!!!
