well today i was preparing for a race i have tomorrow, and when i go to start it starts but the starter ticks when i start it, it does not tick when i stop.

Is this hinting that i am going to have a problem and my starter is going out?

does it slow crank or fast as normal? if its slow cranking then starting could be weak battery

it is as fast as normal...

does it do it only with the start button pushed in? or while its running also?

only wen the starter is pushed...

if it is running and i "start it" it winds really fast and ticks and then it like coasts to a stop...
