anyone else racing???

i'm going to be in the saturday afternoon race in the b class

i just made a practice track at my house that i will ride for 2 hrs to practice...lol

Planning to go but not to race. See ya there!

Do you have any prior experience in GNCC/XC racing? Running the afternoon in the B class may be a bit of a shocker if not.

no...i race mx in the b class though and trail ride hard...lol...also have no problem riding for 2 hrs hard......

You'll have fun, just make sure to pace yourself. I came from an mx background too and really had to reteach myself to not go 100% right off the bat. Ride calm, pace yourself, and have fun. Its a blast and an awsome experience. I love the gncc's and just wish I could go to more.

you race b class mx on stock suspension? wow! Most people in c class are running all aftermarket stuff, or even long travel around here! Good luck in the gncc race. I wanted to hit a xc race on the 30th, but I lost a bushing and had to order it.

yeah...i race a 2008 LTR450 in the mx races...i still have the stock shocks and exhaust on that too though....it does get frustrating when i'm with full race built quads even last year in the c class

oh, ok. makes more sense now! I still feel like I'm gonna get my ass whooped in c class, and I'm running floats up front, and a gt thunder rear on my ltr.

yeah...lol...i raced my z400 in the c class once and did 6th of 15 though so i was happy....not to good in the 16-24 class though..last by 20 seconds....lol its sad when everyone in the c class has such expensive quads... lol

yeah, I didnt expect that either. I'm curious to see how many close to stock quads theres gonna be. It looks like you gotta drop quite a bit a coin to compete in the "beginner" class.

yeah...from what i've seen the gncc and xc races are not as many race built quads....i hope...lol

yeah, I've been watching quite a few xc vids on youtube, and I see a lot of quads running stock shocks at least.

yeah...and even the pros dont do too much to the engine to keep them as reliable as possible

here are the pictures......it started pouring on the last lap....i lost one complete heel guard and bent the other one up...lol

How did those back tires do for you? The tread looks like they don't have much meat on them.

yeah..they dont have much...they only had an hour on before the race, but in that hr they started leaking around the bead....so the only way to keep them on during the race was 15+psi which made for a terribly rough ride.....i dont recommend artrax tires!!...... decent traction though

Weather was perfect for GNCC! I couldn't pick you out as there were a surprising number of z400's and I couldn't hear the announcer a the start line. Looks like you had fun! I may have to give it a run sometime.

I know they pulled a lot of quads out of the rock sections! Congratulations and hope you had a blast!

Glad you had a good time. I've heard that track is the hardest on equipment out of the whole series. I'll be there for Snowshoe.

yeah...i was amazed at how many broken quads there were by the end...lol...i was hoping to go the the snowshoe but i doubt i'll make it

How'd you finish? XC is very hard on the machines, i know that all too well...

i got 13 out of 29 in my class and 126th out of 200 overall.....i was happy with it being my first and having to stop and try to break the heel-guard off...lol....
