anybody have some pictures of an installed streamline steering stablizer. I can't figure out how to make this fit. The oil tank is so close to the down shaft the bracket won't go where I think it should. Also have to mount so that it doesn't pull the brake hose or hit the radiator shrowd.

My bike is an 03 z400

Get some pics of how you're trying to mount it. This looks like the LTZ frame, right here, and how they say to mount it. If it doesn't work going to that right front framerail, just switch the stabilizer body mount over to the left front framerail to get some stand-off at the steering stem mount...

Same stick-type of stabilizer on my Honda - you don't have to have the mount for the body in a certain position on the body - it can be moved and tightened down anywhere along the length of the body. Just make sure you've got the room at the stem mount so it clears the oil tank on full-lock, depending on which side it's mounted on the stem... Stem mount mounted sticking out the the right means full-lock on a right turn (when it's turned rearward), clears the oil tank. Opposite for the left. Depends on where you mount it. Here's the mounting on the Honda that works for me:

I had to mount mine on the upper streering stem with the stabilizer pointing directly to the left (if you're sitting on the quad). The adjuster will be behind the front fender and in front of the body work. It was the only way I could get clearance from the oil tank and front body work and I tried for hours trying to get clearance with it pointing towards the front!
