Long story short...slightly trashed the 400 last weekend and I need new handlebars. Should I stick with buying OEM bars or get something else? I'm really not sure where to start. What handlebars do you suggest?

Also, I'm looking for handlebars that are about the same height as the stock ones. I'm not sure if those are considered high, mid, or low.

Handlebars 101?

Thanks!

In your case recommend Protaper Hi bend Contour, that handle bar should last alot longer than the stock ones, and look alot better 2;-)

^^^ Good bar. You will need to buy adaptors for the clamps though to fit the larger 1_1/8" bar. If you just want a direct replacement just get a tag x-5 handlebar in the LTZ bend. Easy and inexpensive.

yup just get a set of 7/8" bars of your choice renthal, pro taper, tag....

or if you want more protection from bending again then you can get a set of fat bar adapters and bars
