where is that?

I ran the silts until I started racing...racing is so much easier on equipment lol. Plus it's nice not being covered in nasty black coal silt at the end of the day. Still hit them up on occasion for fun.

Where at in PA are you? Was that Tower City coal pits? I've been trying to go but not trying to dish out $350 per person. I heard you can have guests come for $40 a person.

If thats Tower let me know I wanna go.

yeah i want to get out to tower city too at some point. WHere are those coal pits? are they up in hazelton? i have heard that people just pull to the side of the road and just unload and ride in the old coal mines

That's pretty much what happens. I drove to Hazelton and unloaded a few times. I don't know if they did it this year, but Reading anthracite sold permits and you could ride on most of their land as much as you want. We used to ride around pottsville alot but they are doing alot of reclaim now, so certain areas are shut down, it's really no big deal tho, just have to find a way around them.

can you tell me where exactly in hazelton they are? i have been trying to find out where they are

Yea this is hazleton. and yes tons of people ride in that whole area and the surrounding area. Plus there are rediculous trails that branch off into the woods all over the place. we go usually every other sunday if not every week....Its a real good time just such a mess! lol....well worth the trip especially because it is free! just gotta find a good spot to park...PM me for details. :)

dirtstar
is that hazelton or trevorton? i have been to trevorton a bunch of times they have some huge coal hills and a bunch of trails
KMGLTZ
is is definatley hazelton. i have heard lots of people talk about especially since the closing of paragon.

See its really hard to tell where you actually are up there because there are like 5 towns that connect together through trails and coal pits....Hazleton, Trevorton, Whetherly, and a few others. That whole area around there is HUGE! lol...You can go from one town to the next on the trails and get lost pretty easy. awesome riding if you have a good sense of direction or a GPS...But im almost possitive that the hillclimbs in my video clip was from when we were still in Hazleton. Im pretty sure that section is considered tower. Dont hold me to that thow.....;)
KMGLTZ
yeah some of the bigger trails around me will take me into Oswego NY and im 20 miles from the border of NY down in PA. THats a hell of a long ride. I dont have a GPS but i do have a good sense of direction, i dont think thats good enough in the woods though.
09SUZUKI400LTZ
Haha....Yea most definately not good enough! Last time we were up there we went out with a local guy and he told us that guys get lost for a day or 2 at a time out there! lol....Everything at some point starts lookin exactly the same! lol.....;)
