Most of you have seen it.
03 Ram "1550" QC 5.9L Off Road 35's TB spacer, 6x9 K&N cone filter, cat back dual Flowmaster 10 series
On ebay there is one for $89.99 shipped. This guy ports and polishes tb's and if I send mine back to him, he gives you a $25 core. They way he described it is more of a port than bore. Cleans them up real good.

Should I look more into a bored 52mm or something? Will I notice the difference? Is it worth the $90? Is there something else for that price that would do the same?
My tb spacer made a hude difference in throttle response, what if I doubled the spacer thickness?

Moving this to the Loft...

Thanks, I didn't know where to put it.

Meh...my dad had his TB and intake manifold ported on his Vette recently. It picked up a few ponies on the dyno but it's hardly noticable when driving it.

They say 52mm is the way to go on the 5.9. Getting that work done is cheaper than buying a similar size Fastman throttle body, but i still don't know if i would say that it is worth it. I guess if the money is burning your wallet, why not! Plus you already forked out the cash for that silly TB spacer. mhihi.gif

Dang, man... My M109R (just an 1800cc/109 inch V-twin) has twin 56mm throttle bodies.

I bought the spacer before the K&N. It did make a difference, noticable. It was only $35

It does seem small. The 4.0l jeep has a bigger one. They even have a 63mm.

Take the throttle body spacer off, does nothing. Just a paper weight. And yes, the bored TB makes a big difference. 50mm for the 5.2's, and 52mm for the 5.9 is the way to go. That TB won't do a whole lot for you as the stock 5.9 comes already with a 50mm, you need a 52. Ditch that cold air, as they do rob all your bottom end and give you a little top, Cold airs really do nothing for the 5.2 and 5.9 magnum engines as it is a plenum designed engine, it needs a large mass of air all of the time, not air being sucked through a straw. Go with a 14x3 old school air cleaner, noticeable power everywhere, and an old school muscle car sound to go with it.

If you want to read up on it more go on over to Dodgeforum, go to the 2nd gen ram section, and read up. There are a ton of mopar gurus over there that are willing to help. They know there stuff.

This is my setup.

I have k&n about 4" from the throttle body. I cut the intake plenum. How does your filter attach? Clamp around the nottom?

Oh are you using the factory setup from a durango/dakota with a big filter on the end? Those aren't too bad. Yes sir it just clamps around the bottom, I am sure as you know our throttle bodies are made by Holley. Here is a thread on how to do it.

I am Ramsport97 if you need any help on there.

Are you sure that my 03 comes as a 50mm not a 52mm? I checked numerous sites and ebay and the spacer I bought says 52mm in the listing. What year is yours?
Team Alba Z400 Rider 43
You have an 03? That is the first year of gen 3 rams, but they still utilized the 5.2 and 5.9. It may have a 52mm already, but that had to be a big change from the factory, and I highly doubt it. Here is fastmans page, contact him and he will give you a solid answer. Ask him about the throttle body spacer and see what he has to say.
