Hey all. I got stopped by the wardens again today. Exhaust was to loud. Im looking to see if anyone would like to trade a Full Alba Exhaust for a Full Yoshi. I would be willing to throw down some cash. I'm looking for an exhaust that is in excellent condition with no dents.

I have my alba for trade also... not maney ppl want them for the same reason you and i are trying to get ride of them they are just to loud.. do you have the qc for yours?

No. I called Alba and asked if they made one. They do, but it will cost 100 bucks!!!. I dont think it will matter anyways. I just repacked it a few weeks ago and I got 116 at idle on the db meter.

i got a sparks pipe on mine and cant get in the gate at gorman ohv parks. i dont know the db but i can hear my quad a 1/4 mile away. stay away from sparks pipes if youre looking for a quiet pipe.

I think if i have a yoshi and put a quiet tip in it ill be okay... i need to be at or under 98db.

staying under 98 db is going to be tricky! not many pipes out there that stay under that at all times not iwthout scraficing some power..


I was about to say ride with some one with a louder exhaust then you... let them get the fine..lol... but alba is one of the loudest ones you can get if im right

Im hoping that the yoshi will be at 98db. The rule is 20 inches away and at idle... so hopefully with the yoshi insert it will be close.

It's all BS anyways...why can you take a loud as hell Harley right through town with no problems, but a wheeler that's loud in the woods is an offense? Just another money making scheme and something to give the fish police some work to do.

There is a guy in my neighbor hood who has a loud azz harley thats way louder than and atv in the neighborhood...and he revs it goin down the road...but if anyone breaks out an atv..cop are gettin called. thats stupid people that have nothin better to do with their time but complain about something. and i'm not talkin about riding the atv after dark or acting a fool on it...i'm talkin bout riding real slow and respectable. And i live out of the city limits in what is considered the "country". a-holes! gettin me fired up about this.

I know how you feel. Anyone on a dirtbike or fourwheeler trys to get out of town the cops get called and that is just going down a back road with only five or six houses and we can run in the edge of the field and arnt hurting anyone or there property.But all of the motercycles can be as loud as they want?

That why the next pipe I get is gonna say USFS approved on it. Ill tell them to kiss the fattest part of my a$$

Yea... it was VERY bad at one point where I lived.. we got the cops called on us the moment the bikes started in the garage... (had some douchbag people living on my road) so everytime you took of on the bike... we werent surprised to be getting chased by cops... after about 1 full year of that bullcrap... they might of fined 1-3 of us in that one year of chasing the same people over again.. but the damage and the comotion it cause wasnt worth to them.. they ended up finally opening trails... and guess who fough for us to open the trails to the towns mayor's... THE POLICE! the police set everything up and opened a case to make certain/ most back roads and trails open to the public (at a cost of a trail pass) heck they even made roads that go straight to gas station a trail for that sole purpose... there are rules behind all that... but yea... its been 2 years that they have been open for us give or take.... and now they are starting to crack down on loud exhausts.... and guess whats going to happen all over again... people are going to stop pulling over for them again and going to cause problems again... we have raised complaints and pointed out facts that loud noise is good for us.. one.. for oncoming traffic through the bush.. 2 for animals that may cause accidents... and so on... hopefully they lay back eventually though i dout they will..

some people do ruin it for others... but for loudness restrictions.. thats full of BS... understandable if its late at night and your bombing back and forth at the same spot for 10min how that could anoy some 1... but if people cant stand a noise for a maximum of 1 min... its sad....

It would be one thing if I was riding wheelies down main street or at 2am, but I dont do that crap. Pisses me off because now they know me by name and are going to be on the lookout for me. I gotta spend another 500 bucks for a new exhaust and hope I can sell mine on here or on Ebay.

have any of you guys with the really loud pipes ever repacked them? just an idea. i know my HMF is pretty loud without the quiet core but i put in the spark arrestor and i got a little bit quieter. it was definitely noticable.

mine is still brand new.. and havent had a complaint yet... but my parents said they can hear me go around our whole block... with my new exhaust... they say it sounds like im still in dead centre of the village... until i get into the trails then you cant hear me anymore... i think thats what causing people to call the cops.. our village is loaded with trails.. and you go around the village in some of the trails and it makes people think your in the village hauling ass...

I love my one neightbour for one thing!... im very loud!.. but he has never once complained.. he says.. when i was your age i remeber how often the cops would come knockin on my door saying to shut up because people are compling... so i guess this is just pay back for when i was a kid... now he has a new born... i try to keep it down as much as possible but you do got the odd friends wich are loud as all hell... and he still never says anything... i end up finding out just talking to him.. when he says sounded like you guys had a blast last night ....lol..... my neigbours are good but alot of elderly folks that give you the... stare down with a evil look in their face and run off to call the cops

I live in a back woods town with under 500 ppl. Nobody cares about that kind of stuff.

Lol my town has a maximum of 500 people... but over 50% of them are old complaining grumpy folks

Everyone has that stupid friend that likes to do 50mph wheelies down main street in the middle of a 4th of july parade, or donuts at 2am in the middle of the winter, or chase snow plows down the road because it took out your mailbox...3 days in a row. I guess ill stop now.

x3 on that one! lol.. i remeber back in the day we used to call in sick.. go riding.. n meet up with our school bus n just follow it around all the time pulling wheelies...(back in the day) some buss drivers didnt care other got pissed...

one of them more or less raced me lol!... i toped out my bike and he was still pulling on a back road... at the stop he winded down his window and said holy jumping better be carefull on that thing of yours... its fast...lol.. this guy was atleeast 65+

Just a quick question.....since they test when the bike is at idle, would it help if you turned you idle down? We ride on mine property so we really don't have any problems with cops.

I ride alot in my property too... ive seen a few cops drive by my house and just slow down n stare us down... prob got a phone call from some one... but then i just go next to him... (iun my property) n just hammer it and wheelie it down the field... just to rub it in abit...

and for a cop to drive down my road... there's only one major reason why they do... and thats to catch us on our bikes... my road is a trail... so they just bust ya for speeding if you speed or check your papers n so on... the moment you spin your tires or pull the front tires of the ground... busted!

I dont think it would make a big enough diffrence... but you never know I guess.

Zerblag, check out that yoshi full system on ebay that says like kawasaki kfx400 performance exhaust or something..its made by yoshimura. There was a post about it on here. It comes with a little pea shooter quiet core.

its not a full system, its just a slip-on. i got one if you want one. brand new, never used. i got it for another guy and he never paid me so i got stuck with it.
