I ride alot of power lines with steep hill climbs which in some cases are pretty long. Is it just me or is the factory gearing way off for this type of riding. In my opinion even for trail riding it's way off. I either have to be going too slow where if I start spinning and it's too steep of a hill to shift i'm screwed, or have it in second and moving a little too fast where I might run up on a rut or rock that I can't clear and be moving too fast to make an adjustment. Has anyone else noticed this problem? I was thinking about a chain/sprocket setup to help out on the gearing but don't know much about this kinda stuff. Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

what size rear tires are you running? When I had my razr 22's on the rear, I ran a 13f-41r sprocket combo. Great low end power for climbs, and still nice on the top end. There's a gearing calculator here somewhere, do a search for it.
