is there a way to test my starter solenoid because my starter wont turn at all when i hit the button even with booster cables on the battery

take screwdriver and touch pos and neg together and if it starts u no selinod is bad

thanks for the help but we figured it out it wasnt the solenoid, the wires were coming out of the connector that goes to the ignition switch
