I had my sheet metal contractor fab me a splash guard for my new intake set-up (I don't think I'll ever use it).
Anyway it was quick and easy and I 'm pretty sure I could get him to fab up some more for a very reasonable price. What I was thinking is just having him crank out the enclosure without hole(s). That way they could be custom fitted to each application, i.e. filter, intake, mount, etc.
I will post a picture later so you can see what I'm talking about.

I'd just be looking for cost of shipping, fab and a couple bucks for my time....maybe trades?

Here's the pics. This one is just a tad too tight on the sides but it will work. I'm going to take 1/4" off on the next one. They are spot welded and the raw edges are hemmed.
It's not mounted just stuffed in there for the pics.
Measures 7.25" wide by 7.5 tall by 7.5" long (deep). The straight at the top goes back 3.5" then angles down.
I am also going to see about having him make it at about 100 degree angle from face to bottom instead of 90 so it will slope to drain, though you could also slightl slope it on install.....
I got a really good deal on that filter so don't bag on the way it looks.

And here's a shot of the mount I made for my FCI.....somewhat inspired by LTZ guy's bowdown.gif mount but I like mine just a little better icon_cool.gif

I am, but how much would it cost?
spize909
not sure, but I will find out tomorrow.
I would say no more the 30 shipped, maybe alot less if he just makes a few for free..........
just to be clear I am just talking about the box with no holes. That'd be up to your and your application.
