I missed the opportunity for pics. I got too busy putting it back together. mhihi.gif
Glad somebody is taking pics though...
Hopefully I can report what the 462 is gonna put down.

rinehart_mitch
looks good, but i dont think the side covers will stay lookin that good with your feet rubbin it, like it!
LTZguy
Just incase...i have a flywheel puller and a case splitting tool if you need to borrow.
zophar
Forgot that nut over the weekend. Sorry dude.
I'll grab it tonight.
Looks good. I still gotta snap some pics.
I did my side covers with Rhino Liner like my frame.
o2bfst
nice zoph... yea snapsomepics of that... yea when ever you get around to it man..imstillwaiting for paul to tellme whats up... id be happy w a killer deal on a stroker piston..
zophar
Believe it or not, I think I rubbed some of it off last night riding.
o2bfst
really.. i know my nice paint isnt going to last long but it will look sick the first time out..
zophar
I didnt run by the shop yet. had things going on at the house.
Getting off work when its dark sucks
Camaro1976
henry i've got a flywheel puller you can borrow too if you need it. I also may have an extra axle nut kicking around if you want to build your own...

Oh and a case splitting tool isn't necessary at all, a good planar blade or something else works just fine if your not beating on it
o2bfst
thanks kevi think zophar is going to send me a nut if nuti will let u know.. yea i thinkill be able tospilt the cases w a couple prybars.. slow and steady...
o2bfst
Well a quick update.. i am still waiting for the correct crank to show up.. wish i had it right the first time im not a big fan of letting this sit in pieces this long...more chance to lose parts.. i hope it gets here soon. then it will be time to save for a 94mm kit.
zophar
Then you gotta get that head worked over mhihi.gif
o2bfst
i know right.. w what money..lol... umless your gonna do a promo job... mhihi.gif
Joshz400_03
Dude your pictures are huge I cant even see the whole thing until the site resizes it..You need to resize before you post, same with the QOTM entry..Anyway lookin good! Cant wait to get a ride report on that +4
o2bfst
i dont know how to resize... i load them w the site uploader...
Der2Z
Lookn nice!
o2bfst
the axle nut from zophar just showed up today.. woot woot. so i will get my puller made on monday when i go to work and have access to the welder..then this w00ter is comeing apart.
zophar
Glad it's getting closer to build time.
Can't wait to hear somebody's review other than mine.
o2bfst
no doubt.. it will deff be done after x-mass.. gotta love x-mass money lol..
o2bfst
I havent updated for a while so here it goes... Tryed makingmy own puller in a hurry and it didnt work out soi borrowed one.. i just got the cases split and realizediforgotmy crank at work.. FML.. lol soi got to wait till monday befor i can put it back together.... for anyone that wants to do this its not that hard... honestly if you go slow and take your time and pay attention just about neone could do it.. i will be getting a 94mm piston and jug after x-mass andmy birtday since my birtday is the last day of the year lol...WOOT.. lol.. illpost more when i start putting the crank in.
o2bfst
the crankis all in.. much easier than i expected.. now ineed towait for the dealerto get my left handed nutin soi canget the bottomendallbolted backup.
cataway
i found putting the engine back into the frame more of a pain then spliting the cases
o2bfst
yea ihave toput it back in and not scratch up all the new paint doingso.. i may put the topend andside covers onafter i have set the bottomend back in the frame.
Camaro1976
+1. first time I tried putting the whole motor in and its a lot more work and heavier. Throwing the bottomend in and then putting on the topend is way easier, plus the motor is stable when your working on it.
zophar
^^ I agree.
That's how I did mine.
I got the bottom end together, bolted in the frame then went on with the cylinder and head.
o2bfst
yea thats how i am going todo it..much easier.. Oh yea dont knowif i mentioned this but i alsogot akiller dealon some LTE duals.. those are onthe way..
zophar
That's cool. I thought about the duals, but they dont really show a gain over single exhaust, so I stuck with a single.
They looks nice though.
o2bfst
yea ive wanted them for a long time i like the looks. and i got a hella deal on them.
o2bfst
heres some pics of the bottomend all back together.. just waiting for some more money to do the 94mm.
zophar
That's what I'm talkin about! Got huevos on the table too mhihi.gif
o2bfst
huevos.. FTW..lol
YOURADHERE
Post some pics of those duals when you get them. Ive always wanted to see how they look close up but never saw any pics. Builds coming nicely.
o2bfst
I will be sure to im excited to get them.. i should be seeing them the begining of next week.. they were shipped from WI on tuesday.. so we will see.
trailrider19
thats a nice looking motor. you should start doing them for people.
o2bfst
send me your and ill do it up for ya..lol.
trailrider19
mine is still pretty much a new motor. still runs strong. thanks for the offer though. i like to my own work though. if i need it built and i dont have the time to do it, i will hit you up.
o2bfst
quick update.. not much has been done to the motor.. money is tight so its slowed up pretty good. but im getting a weisco 94mm kit soon.. and my dual exhaust should be here netime..
o2bfst
my exhaust finaly showed up today.. Only waited a month for it to show up.. but heres some pictures for those ofyou that were wondering how they look.

matt133229
Those duals look pretty sweet! Did you do any searching or asking around to see if anyone that has used them has any dyno comparisons or even seat of the pants compared to just the singles? They will look awesome, I would just be weary that they may flow a little too well and not create enough needed backpressure. Definitely let me know how they work out!

Single was proven to have more power..It's fairly close though.
o2bfst
single does have more power..but thats ok.. i like how they look.. i think they will actually helpmy build some.. we will see.. BTW im giving up my alba to run these.
matt133229
Well that's understandable, they do look sweet! Was just curious.
zophar
I wanna hear it run..
Get it built! Get it built! *chanting*
o2bfst
lol i know it bro im working on it.. lacking funds.. you could float me a loan... *wink*
zophar
